Yasser was a boy of twenty, brown skinned, cheerful young man. One day he comes back home carrying a knife dripping blood. His entire shirt was red and there was mud on his pants and face and hands.
“Mother I am sorry! I killed a man. I am a murderer!” Exclaimed Yasser.
Saying this he fell on his mother’s feet.
Yasser's mother was a lady of great intelligence and a sober mind. When she heard about her son’s misdeed, she knew the consequences. BUT instead of helping her son and consoling him, she shouted, she screamed. Her words were like thunderbolt which tore him into pieces.
Finally the police arrived and arrested Yasser, and his mother didn't even say a word to retreat his arrest. She was in a devastated, dilapidated condition....
Months passed...And finally there arrived the day when Yasser was supposed to be hanged...
“Any last wish, young man?” Asked the officer
“I want my mother to be HAPPY in her life" replied Yasser
........"I am sorry mother!”...those were the last few words which he murmured...
When the news of his death reached his mother, people gathered to console her and some came to add salt to her bruises...But it seemed that nothing affected the old lady. She was unmoved and pretended as if nothing had happened....
The next morning, when the milk man came to give the tin of milk, the door was closed. Perhaps this was the first time he experienced this, because the old lady was very particular about waking up early in the morning....later on when things got worse and suspicious, MR. ALI went and knocked the door...no answer....
They broke the door and entered...And finally saw that the lady was sitting on her arm chair, her face turned towards the portrait of her son hanging on the wall. There was a smile on her face...but there was something which shocked everyone...some even cried in despair...
They found blood tricking down the lady’s hands and a knife fallen on the floor....amidst of all these, there was a paper on which it was written.....
“I LOVE YOU SON, I WILL BE HAPPY ALL MY LIFE, TILL IT ENDS!”
