3hunna Shades of Sosa
Have you ever wanted to know what it feels like to meet the greatest rapper of all time? If so continue reading because, I can tell you what it’s like. My name is Alexander Cribz I am a 19 year old online college student and aspiring Hip Hop artist. I grew up in Beverly Hills, CA, where I had to learn how to make it out the struggle. Me and my family were living in a multi-million dollar home but, it was one of the cheaper homes of the neighborhood. We were neighbors with the Kardashians and Oprah.
My dad Robert Cribz is a Co-Founder for interscope records. He knows all types of artists from Justin Bieber, to Miley Cyrus, to Kanye West, and on and on. But, there’s one artist he knows that I’ve always wanted to meet in fact it’s my favorite artist. His name is Chief Keef he’s a 19 year old rapper from Chicago (Chi-Raq). Even though he’s the same age as me he is still someone that I look up to. From the way he flows on a beat to his beat selection to how he acts off the stage and out the studio he is an inspiration. My favorite songs from him are either “Hate Bein Sober” or “Love Sosa”. My dad tells me that he isn’t someone that I should hang around. I have always wondered why that is. He always wants me hanging around these CEO’s and businessmen. But, I’ve always told him that’s no fun they are too boring. I want to meet a rap star.
My 20th birthday is coming up and the only thing that I asked for is to meet Chief Keef and the rest of Glo Gang. I want to have the experience of a lifetime and feel what it’s like to be in the studio with my idol. I don’t how this will go if I ask my dad. Him and interscope just recently dropped Chief Keef from the label. So I’m scared my dad will threaten Keef and his friends. I know that’s something I wouldn’t want to see. I just figured I’d ask him tomorrow morning when he gets back from Paris and it’d give me enough time to think of how I’m going to ask him overnight. I walk into my Glo Gang themed bed room, picking up my phone to turn of Keef’s classic mixtape Back From The Dead as a nightly tradition before I go to bed. I lay down in my bed looking up at my Chief Keef Finally Rich album cover poster thinking about what it’d be like making a song with Chief Keef. As soon as the mixtape was finished I turn off my Glo Gang lamp and go to sleep.
It’s a Tuesday morning. I wake up to my daily alarm “Laughin To The Bank” by you should know who at this point. After about a minute I stand up walking towards my door and slip on my Glo Gang Slippers before going down stairs to see my dad. As I approach the stairs I see my brother Patrick heading up the stairs looking excited. He then makes eye contact and says “Alex bro! You won’t believe this but, your idol Chief Keef is moving in down the street.” As soon as I heard him say that I lost control of what I was doing falling down the flight of stairs. I didn’t feel pain as soon as I reached the bottom of the stairs because, I was more focused on the news my brother had just told me. “Oh my god are you serious Patrick! There’s no way man. You can’t joke about this stuff man. Show me proof.” Patrick sighs “I was on my way up to show you. I was walking down the street and saw a moving truck. I decided to go check it out and see who was moving in. Coincidentally it turns out to be Keef” he chuckles. “ He was standing outside his Bugatti. I went up to him and introduced myself. I even got a picture with him. I just posted it on instagram.” “No way! I got to see this.” I repied. I started running as fast I ever have towards the front door. I see my dad in the living room talking to his new girlfriend. I hear him say “Alex how’s it going son. Nevermind.” I had no time to acknowledge them I had to see if this was true. I open the door heading down the driveway looking down the street to see what was going on. No moving trucks but, I do see a bugatti pulling out of the driveway. I wait at the end of my driveway waving towards the driver to stop but, he was going too fast so I couldn’t see who it was. The only thing I saw was a group of people in the car. All blasting a song that sounded something like Chief Keef would make but, I didn’t recognize it. It had to have been him or at least someone associated with Keef.
I turn to walk towards Keef’s new home according to my brother, taking my phone out of my pocket ignoring all my missed messages to open up my instagram to see if what my brother Patrick had said was true. I update my instagram feed and the first thing I see indeed is my brother and Keef taking a selfie next to his Bugatti. Except it wasn’t under Patrick’s instagram it was under Keef’s instagram oh my god. I can’t believe my brother met my idol before I ever got to I never have been so Jealous. The caption under Keef’s photo says “Dis me and da new squad member we keep it 3hunna #bang #glogang.” I seriously can’t believe I missed all of this. I update my instagram feed again and see another photo of Keef this time it’s with my sister Kara. It’s a picture of them in his car with the caption saying “Me and my new bae listening to some new music off Bang 3 da album. She Love Sosa. #gang #bang3.” I hate my sister she doesn’t even listen to Chief Keef and she already a part of the squad I can’t even right now. Knowing that Keef isn’t at the house rather out with my sister. I call my sister trying to make some type of attempt to get in contact with the AlmightySo Chief Keef. She doesn’t pick up and in anger I pick up a rock and throw it in frustration not knowing where it was going. Seconds later I could hear glass shatter. I run back to my house ignoring what window broke. Everyone is rich in this neighborhood one broken window shouldn’t piss anyone off.
As I enter my house my dad welcomes me “I’ve missed you son. There’s a lot we need to catch up on. This is my new girlfriend Diamond. She’s been wanting to meet you.” I ignore what he says and in response say “Nothing new. I have to meet Chief Keef he just moved in down the street. I don’t care about anything else right now.” My dad replies “He lives down the street you’ll get to meet him. I don’t think it’s all that necessary though, you’re behavior needs improvement anyways, Hanging with him won’t improve it.” “Dad you don’t get it Chief Keef. Is my role model how can he be a bad influence? You’re just mad he still doing well after you dropped him from the label. He’s still out here making hits and making money he didn’t ever need you guys. Him getting dropped was the best thing to happen to him.” I say with aggression. “Oh son Chief Keef is nothing but an ignorant rap artist. If he was helping the label we would’ve had no reason to drop him. He wasn’t selling us enough records and he couldn’t stay out of legal trouble there was a good reason we cut him.” He says. “I don’t care what you say dad Glo Gang over everything. Just keeping it 3 hunna.” I walk out the room frustrated knowing my dad wasn’t going to let me hangout with King Sosa for my birthday. So I knew I would just have to do it without him knowing.
