Spa Pool Nightmares
“Don’t leave me here!” The fading words were all I could hear as I ran back through the forest towards my home as fast as I could. I had just escaped from a situation I never thought I would have to experience...and I never want to experience again.
It all started when my friend Jules and I decided to take a different route home from school. This route took us through the forest that edged on the side of our town. Our town was perfect looking, like you see in the family movies. Perfect houses, each one the same, with perfectly mowed front lawns, with perfect white picket fences not missing any bits and perfectly kept gardens with perfectly shaped flowers just sprouting with the onset of Spring. The only thing is that if you walked too far out of town along the main road, all that perfectness came to an abrupt end. The road would suddenly feel crumbly and dusty under your shoes as if no one had been there in a while, the perfect houses disappeared and the sprouting flowers disappeared amongst the dry grass and overgrown weeds.
I shouldn’t have listened to Jules but when she’s been your best friend since kindergarten and you’ve been joined at the hip ever since, it’s kind of hard to say no. We work well together. Jules is bold and bright. She is the life of the party and can’t wait for a chance to think of her next adventure. Jules looked like the life of the party too. She had a big mop of curly, red hair, freckles scattered all over her face, big blue eyes and she was tall.
Find out what happens in the next installment of Spa Pool Nightmares.
