“You have no manners, responsibilities, behavior. Why you had come to school? For fun? You cannot get your checked at the house?” the teacher was angry and his loud voice stilled the class.
“But sir…” the boy wanted to say something but he was stopped by the teacher.
“Don’t say a word” the teacher roared and started to check other copies.
The boy was scolded because he had not get checked his copy for many days. But I think there is a little stuff to get scolded since he was on leave to the very first day of the exam and it was the first day after the exam.
“Look at Jaki and Sonu, they were such two nice boy, they had get their copies checked. They were also on leave. Learn from them” the teacher pointed to Jaki and Sonu.
I was about to laugh; the boys who were the naughtiest boys of the class were tagged with ‘good’.
It happens every day; I still remember, when we were newcomers the boy was the most smart one of the class, might be over smart. He was made the class monitor of the class and also he had done a good work except complains for which whole class is scared and hated him. He entertains the class, sings songs, gives speeches etc. sometimes in front of teachers or sometimes do not. But for these stuffs many were jealous of him, sometimes I too.
Teachers were also annoyed of him. There was a time when teachers gets insulted of his useless questions and statements and when teachers started to hate him. But by time he adjusted himself between teachers but there is a teacher to whom he was still a curse.
“Look he was still not saying ‘sorry’; manner less boy.” The teacher said.
“I had said ‘sorry’ for many times. Sometimes he would stop me to say sorry and threw me out of his room and now…” he whispered to me.
“Then try again.” I interrupted. He did not say anything. The teacher noticed me.
“Hey boy” the teacher pointed him, “Trying to make my lotus into mud like yourself?”
Wow! The teacher made me lotus, but I think it was not a suitable tag for me. Then the period passed only on this matter.
Then the whole day he annoyed me by asking ways to be a good boy. He asks me every day. But I said nothing that day.
That night when we are reading in the class, there was a large noise in our class emerging like a fish market. As I was the captain of the class I tried to control the class but all was in vain. The boy was reading with no word in his mouth. It was a miracle that he was not making any noise. In the class he only shouts and shouts like that his mouth would not stop.
“Hey, quiet! Quiet!” library sir came into the class, “Hey boy! You are making noise in the class, no? Come out of the class”
“What” the boy said.
“Yes, you the common factor of noise! Come out.” the teacher took him out of the class and ordered him to run the whole academic block.
The class laughed. The boy who had not spoken a word had given punishment, funny thing. But I don’t think. He came after a few minutes covering the round and breathed heavily, looking at me.
“What?” I asked.
He smiled and said, “Ill luck.”
