Mabel Catalina. This is who I was. Yes, "was". I hated that version of me. I'm sorry, this isn't making any sense. Let me start from the beginning.
I was born in Orlando, Florida on March 24, 1997. I grew up never showing interest in girly or feminine things. My parents just thought I was a tom-boy or was just going through one long awkward phase. No. This, both were untrue. I started feeling uncomfortable in my body by the time I had reached the fifth grade. I noticed this when on a two-day field trip to Raliegh, North Carolina. All the girls were doing girly things and even at one point on the trip they started making fun of me. My whole prespective changed and once I got home I said these very words, "I want to be a boy, mom."
In the summer of June 2013, my family and I moved to Mississippi. This was the point of my life when I changed into a boy. Since I was moving schools, there was no reason for me to be nervous or scared.
When I went to my first day of school, everyone was pretty decent towards me. I introduced myself to them as Ethan Catalina.
