Monster The Prologue.
Born 1999, M, from Indianapolis, indiana, United StatesI never thought that i would end up in a place like this, never thought that my life was completely over. I was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. I was never a criminal or a killer. I was just a kid who wanted some food and juice. I spend everyday in my cell thinking about why i’m here, and i keep saying the same thing to myself. I’M JUST THE VICTIM.
I didn't pull the trigger, i didn't even kill the man. I hate being in this place everyday, I hate hate hate this place so much. When i sit down at lunch i feel uncomfortable, because someone is always looking at you or giving you a wink. One time a guy got up from his seat and hit the other guy with the tray, and the next thing you know, there was blood everywhere. The other inmates just sit back and laugh & yell. This place is a madhouse, like World War 3. Every Friday we have Movie Night. They provide popcorn and soda for the good kids. They give us these pair of headphones to listen to the movie, and if you don't have one, you're out of luck. When we watch the movie, imagine the opening being about my life. About why i am here. I think i should write a book and direct it into a movie. I bet it will go viral everywhere you go. Just wishing a way to get out of here. Is the only thing i should be caring about. Maybe the Judge will set me free, or maybe he will put me here for life. I only have one friend in here and his name is Jose. Jose was brought in because he used Self Defense on his Step-Father. Jose shares a cell with me, and to be honest it’s great. Jose is not a thug, nor a monster. One day Jose got raped in the Wash Room, and i wasn't there to stop it. He cries every night wishing the same thing i wish. When he cries he makes me cry. But the bad thing is, that Jose is going on Trial, and he might be lucky enough to be free. I should write down my story in the notebook they let me keep. I should write about how it all started, and how it ends. I should tell the story about this madhouse they have me sleeping in. I shall call this book: Monster!
