I am the author of the social justice and antiwar memoir Marching to a Silent Tune: A Journey from We Shall to Hell No, published by ACTA Publications. (www.actapublications.com). Available at booksellers and at Amazon.com. In 2023, the book was awarded Second Place in the memoir category by the Catholic Media Association.
I also authored Days of Decision: An Oral History of Conscientious Objectors in the Military during the Vietnam War. (Available on Kindle and softcover at Amazon or in softcover at: www.ebay.com/itm/254593249665).
Other publications appear in The Catholic Worker newspaper. Several articles and book reviews appear in The Veteran, the newspaper of the Vietnam Veterans Against the War. A Genealogical article, Sticks and Stones, appears in the online journal, We the Italians, along with the short story, The Modica Chocolate Man. The Case of the Missing Grandfather appears in the July/August 2021 issue of Your Genealogy Today.
I am retired, living in Colorado Springs with my wife Kathilynn. I hold a master’s degree with advanced studies in Sociology from Rutgers University. I was employed for twenty-five years doing research and evaluation with the New Jersey Department of Human Services and another seven with Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen, NJ. I am a member of the Secular Franciscan Order and various peace and social justice groups.
