I grew up in Argentine Patagonia, on an apple farm in a lovely valley in the Prov. Río Negro. My parents were immigrants of Scottish descent and spoke English to me from when I was born. I went to the small rural school 5kms. away, mostly walking. I was sent to a bilingual boarding school in Buenos Aires, where we did our Overseas Cambridge Certificate. Later I married and had 3 children, two of whom died young, aged 21 and 29 years old. I now live near my daughter a few kms. from the town of Bariloche. There are beautiful glaciar lakes in this tourist district, but due to the pandemic we have no visitors at present. I've always liked writing short stories and poetry. My poetry has been published in various magazines, both online and off. Mostly, I write for my own pleasure and, hopefully, for others to read.
