BIODATA
Gift Effiong Inyang is a Nigerian writer, poet, educator, and
creative thinker whose literary works reflect moral depth,
cultural identity, and social consciousness. He hails from
Ikot Abasi 1 in Etinan Local Government Area of Akwa
Ibom State, Nigeria. From childhood, Gift displayed a
passion for storytelling and poetry, using words to express emotion, inspire change, and promote positive values.
He began his education at Rebisi State School 2, Port Harcourt, where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate. He proceeded to Lao Russell Memorial Secondary School and Comprehensive Secondary School, Mgbuosimini Rumueme, where he earned his West African Examination Council (WAEC) certificate. His desire for higher knowledge led him to the University of Port Harcourt, where he undertook a pre-degree programme in
Theatre and Film Studies. He later advanced to the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), studying Mass Communication.
Gift Effiong Inyang is the author of notable works such as Trial of a Cyber
Enthusiast, The Mysterious Food Vendor, The Broken Will, and The Invisible
Street. As a poet, he has written over eighty poems exploring themes of faith,
love, leadership, humanity, and hope.
Beyond writing, he is a passionate educator who inspires students to embrace literature as a means of moral and intellectual growth. Gift believes that literature
transcends entertainment, it serves as a tool for transformation, enlightenment,
and the preservation of cultural heritage.
