I am a morning person, walking my dog before the city stirs. Married to a man who understands my need for self-isolation to create my private world where my characters live. I don't describe myself as an optimist, reason I have no children, but still, I have to believe that the world will be much better than it is. I write every afternoon, in a room that faces the back garden until the last light of the day comes. I write slowly to understand what I think, which is not always what I feel. My characters are more honest than I am. I do not believe in writer's block, but I do believe in long silences. I am learning to trust them.
