Damian Henry was born 24th October 1990 in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. Most of his childhood years he remembers his family along with himself moving around from place to place. He spends most of his time coming up with new projects’ and new ideas of things to do in life- as literacy will be only one of them.
He thinks of himself as a visionary and believes that he is with a purpose on earth, a purpose and destiny only he can fulfil. He is the eldest of three and lives with his family in his Cape flats based home. Growing up was hard for Damian Henry; although he had friends.
During his time in school, he was determined on pursuing his dream in the completion of his first ever book, ‘The Black rising” that dealt with Vampires, Werewolves, Mutants, Angels, Demons etc….He’s hoping The Black rising would be one of many books of his creation and that it will be formed into a remarkable story, a story worth comparing to many of the greatest books ever written, by some of the world’s finest novelists. The Black rising will be the first of six books when published.
Damian Henry is a punctual and intellectual person, passionate and motivated. He is the kind of person that takes life serious, and is a determined person. To his friends he is, a good friend, people person, caring, understanding, and hardworking. But mostly….although he is not a very self esteemed person, he has the confidence of two men. He had a rough childhood and had experienced many things, he has been through things that your average teenagers and young men don’t go through. He’s mostly seen by people as a chronicler of fictional writing and the emotions and hardship of humans on earth.
Although Damian Henry’s works are notable for their biting satire and sophisticated wit, they also prove him capable of moving and tender sentiment
