I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, and graduated from high school in 1976. I got married in 1983, and we have three grown sons, but no grandchildren, yet. In 1979 I went to work in the fire service, and retired in 2008 at the rank of Assistant Chief. When I have grandchildren, I will add being with them to my short list of passions: writing and gardening.
