On a cool december day,
Mother, alana woke up in the early morning and prepared herself to clean up the house. It all started on the day of christmas eve.

"Harry wake up!" grandma shouted in to harry's ear.

"I want to sleep" he said plugging his ears with his fingers.

Again his eyelids dropped slowly.

"Oh ho. . Get up my son. Today I will give you more pocket money. Then, your piggy bank will full"

That news got him out of bed.

Harry, five year old boy, saves his pocket money for two years to buy a bulldog.

"What"

"Ya. . today I will give you. ."

"Wow grandmom. .!" harry said.

Harry took a quick shower and got dressed. He ran down the stairs to the kitchen. Under the dining table, over the chairs and finally entered to the kitchen.

Mother was making candy, cake, tamales and doughnuts while father, martin was helping.

"Mummy"

"Ya my baby. . Are you ready?"

Harry nodded his head.

"Good boy" mother said with love.

"Here you go" said the alana, harry's mother as she put the plate on the table.

"Wow my favourite biscuits" harry jumped.

He dunked two of the biscuits into the hot milk and popped them into his mouth. When he finished, he licked his lips. Then, alana and martin came and kissed him. Harry is an only child to them. They loved him as an ocean.

"Hurry up" Grandma said. She was almost ready to go Christmas shopping.

"Yup" harry replied.

Grandma, harry's mother, alana and harry went inside the car. Soon enough they reached the local mall. Many people had come there for Christmas shopping. They entered the mall with great joy.

Mother and grandma were doing their Christmas shopping. Harry sat in the grocery cart as mother perused the canned fruits.

“How about this one, Mummy?”
harry asked, and handed her a can of black berries.

“I love black berries. It is my favourite. but it’s just expensive.”
She put the can back on the shelf.

They came back to home with hands full of things. Father started to file in to the whole home decorated with balloons, paper chain, garlands and ornaments to help make the home feel welcome.

"How was the shop..ping?" father asked between blows on the balloons.

"It was really good" mother replied.

Out side it was cold and windy. Harry dressed his new warm sweaters and cozy slippers. Everyone was sitting around the fire place and sipping coffee.

Alana decided to make the x'mas tree. She quickly started her work. Harry started to fill up balloons with father.

Soon after she made a perfect x'mas tree with different colors of bulbs.

"Martin come here. I want to show you something" alana called.

"Wow what a x'mas tree?" martin gave a gasp of amazment.

"Martin, where is harry?"

"Few minutes before he went to his room"

"Ok . . I'll" alana went to harry's room.

She looked all over the room. But, couldn't find him. Suddenly something caught her eyes. She looked at it. 'Oh god' it was harry's piggy bank. It had broken.

"Oh . . How can this be?" it was a puzzle to her.

Alana came back to the verenda. The X'mas tree dazzling. She noticed something under the x'mas tree. It was a gift box with a note. That note was written in cute handwriting and that said,
"Merry x'mas mummy" after alana opened a crudely wrapped gift. It was a can of black berries. Her eyes filled with tears. Then, harry came and hugged her from behind.

"This is the best cristmas gift I'd ever received" she said.

(Christmas time is the time for giving and sharing so, share your lovely feelings with your family.
Merry x'mas..!!)
