The Freaking Graveyard
Born 2003, F, from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.jpg)
"Hey! Wait for me, guys!" I shouted and ran towards them.
"So, what are your plans for today?" Ava asked.
"Sleeping all day." Meg and Ro replied together.
"I knew it!!" Ava said smiling. "What about you, Portia?" She then asked.
"I'll have to welcome my two little cousins this evening, Carl and Zay." I replied. "We have to go to the scary graveyard." I further asserted.
"Graveyard??" Ro asked curiously.
"Last time, I lost in stone, paper, scissors with them so they ordered me that the next time they come, I'll have to go to the graveyard with them which is beside my house." I explained.
"But there are ghosts in there.." They all murmured nervously.
"According to my silly brothers, if we show lollipops to the ghosts, they'd get scared and go away." I said annoyingly. "They said they learnt in school that ghosts are scared of lollipops."
"What??" Ava, Ro and Meg started laughing.

The evening came and so did those kids.
"Hello Zay and Carl! How are you?" I asked.
"I'm so excited we're going on an adventure!!" Carl shouted joyfully.
"That's for you.." Zay said politely handing me the red flowers.
"That's so sweet of you!!" I said pleasingly.
It got dark outside so we decided to leave. Zay and Carl pulled me out of the house and I had to go unwillingly.
Firstly we bought lots of lollipops and then headed towards our destination. Zay and Carl restlessly entered the horrible place and my feet were shivering.
"So basically our plan is to tour this place. Is my team ready for this?" Carl asked pretending himself as our leader and the place as a garden to be toured.
"Yes, Sir!" Zay replied excitedly.
"I can't hear you, Portia." Carl said pointing towards me.
"Y...ye..yes, S..Sir" I muttered, while having a look at the creepy things around.
"Great! Follow me now!!" Carl announced and started walking. Zay and I followed him.
After walking for so long, we found ourselves beneath a giant tree.
"So this is the giant tree we see from the balcony!" Carl and Zay said.
"Let's just sit here for a while..." Zay said.
"Here's you lollipop, Sir" I giggled and handed him the lollipop. "And that's for you Zay."
Just then the wind started to blow and we heard creepy noises coming from the tree. The branches began to shake as if they will fall on us.
"Is that a ghost?" Zay and Carl questioned.
"Guys....Let's get out of here!" I exclaimed fearfully and took hold of them and ran from the spot that instant.
"Phewwwww...." Carl said, "We're quite far from that tree now."
"You were the one who took us there!!" I shouted madly.
All of sudden a large group of bats appeared from nowhere and started wandering above us. The noise was unbearable.
"Guys....Let's get out of here too!!!" Zay imitated. We all ran from that place to a corner where we found ourselves safe.
**************************
"What an adventure!!!!!" Carl exploded.
"Oh, OK...that's it. We're leaving this place now.." I ordered furiously. "Now, you guys will quietly follow me.." I added.
"But..."
"No, Zay. Don't even say a word until we reach home!" I interrupted.
I felt very relieved because finally I was going out of the freaking graveyard. On the other hand, Zay was sad because he wanted to explore more whereas Carl was sad not because we were leaving but because he was the leader and he was supposed to tell us where to go.
"Stop!!!" All of sudden Zay bellowed. "Did you hear that?" he asked.
"What??" Carl asked wildly.
"Footsteps!!" Zay replied. "Shhh..now listen.." he whispered.
"Y...e...yes..I do hear!!" I said, petrified.
I did not have the courage to look back but it was necessary to confirm who it was. I slowly and nervously turned around and saw an old women standing. She wore a long white dress. Her face was completely black except her eyes that were fully white. She had long dirty nails and her feet were reversed. Her hair were scattered on her face and she stood still in front of us. She did seem like a witch.
I got so petrified and so frightened that I became a statue. I wanted to run away but I couldn't move myself.
"She's a witch!!!!" Zay shouted amazingly.
"She's funny!" Carl expressed his unnecessary opinion too.
"Hey witch..what exactly are you doing here?" Carl asked.
"Don't you feel scared? After all you live alone in this place." Zay asked such an unexpected question.
"You can't scare us old lady. We're brave superheroes!" Carl said proudly.
I was not able to see the witch anymore. I grabbed those devils and ran from there with my absolute strength.
I was hurriedly running back towards the gate of the graveyard. Suddenly we heard a creaky sound. I looked all around but there was nothing. When I looked straight, there stood a skeleton right in front of me.
The scene was frightening. We were stuck. There were ghosts everywhere!!
Carl and Zay took out the lollipops I gave them earlier and began to scare the skeleton.
"Don't worry, sister! I'll save you from this crazy monster!!" Carl said pretending himself as a superhero that time.
"Just run!!!!" I uttered tensely. We all ran at once and finally we were so near to the gate. Just then we saw a beautiful, clean doll dressed in a pink gown lying under a tree. No wonder what was a doll doing in the graveyard. Zay picked up the doll and started admiring it. Then in a flash the doll jumped from Zay's hand and began walking around singing a horrible scary song. At this, we vanished from the spot.
The gate was just in front of us. As soon as we were about to go out, we heard a voice.
"Is this yours?" said an old, weak voice.
I turned around and saw an old woman standing. She had a black dog that seemed very fearful. She was holding a stick in her hand and a lollipop in her other hand. Carl and Zay were about to run to take the lollipop because undoubtedly they are lollipop lovers.
"WHAT on earth is this woman doing here this time??" I pondered staring at her.
As Carl and Zay were about to run towards the old woman, I screamed and ran away outside the graveyard. On seeing this, Carl and Zay followed me.
**************************************
"Finally!!!" I shouted happily. "We are out from that place!!!" I got as happy as a lark.
"Let's play stone, paper, scissors again and if I won, we'll go inside again!" Carl suggested.
"We didn't even tour the place completely..." Zay said sadly.
"Just stay away from me!!!!" I bellowed angrily.
One next moment, we heard laughs coming from the graveyard. We saw shadows of three people coming towards us. It came closer, closer and closer......
"Ava?, Meg?, Ro??" I said confusingly.
"Portia, you are like the biggest coward ever!!!!" Ro said while laughing madly.
"What....what do you mean?" I muttered.
"Those creatures, those ghosts and everything was fake. It was all planned. Remember when you told us that you have to go to the graveyard and after that, when you left, we decided to test your bravery. So we planned to scare you, Carl and Zay." Meg explained the whole story.
"And it was very surprisingly absurd that these two boys weren't scared but you were!" Ava laughed.
"You....you mean to say all those freaking, scary and stupid stuffs were not real?" I burst out furiously.
They all nodded while laughing.
"The creepy voice?" Carl asked.
"That was with the help of my phone and speakers!" Ava said.
"The witch?" Zay inquired.
"Come on! There's nothing like witches! It was Meg!" Ro exclaimed.
"The bats?" Carl and Zay asked together.
"They were robot ones. We bought them from a far away shop just to scare you!" Meg said.
"The skeleton?" I uttered.
"The skeleton's a skeleton. It was fake and we bought that too!" Ro said.
"Phew!!!" I said. "I'm saved!!"
"But wait..." I spoke the next moment, "What about the doll and the old woman with dog?" I questioned.
"Wait........what?? Which doll and old woman?" They all stammered.
