Sarla was living with her Uncle and Aunt in a small village of West Bengal , India. She was 16 years old , she was a great devotee of Goddess Durga (A Hindu Goddess) from her Childhood. Her parents were died when she was only 5 years old. Her uncle was a Vaidya (a practitioner of Ayurvedic medicine.) , who loved her like her child, but her Aunt didn't love her. She always behaved rudely with her as she were not able to gave birth to any child.

She used to treat Sarla like an animal. She always harassed her as much as she could. She used to give remaining food to Sarla and had taken as much work as she could by her.

Sarla had started remaining sad these days, but her condition was not same always. She used to be happy every time when her parents were alive, but from when her parents died , her condition got changed completely. Sarla's neighbors had sympathy with her, but they were not able to help her due to her cruel Aunt.

One day she became so much depressed with her situation that she took the decision to commit suicide . She thought that it is better to die rather than leading such a pathetic life. So she went to nearby river and jumped into it, but she couldn't die . Perhaps God had some other plans for her.

After some time when she woke up , she found herself at the shore of river, She thought how she came here, meanwhile a sweet voice of a lady came into her ears that who are you and why you jumped into the river. She saw that lady and said She is Sarla , lived nearby village and then she told her whole story to that lady. That lady was looking like her passed mother , after hearing her story that lady said , don't worry dear , you will face no problem from now, just go back to your home and don't try to commit suicide again, as life is precious.

She didn't want to go back to her Uncle, Aunty home , but she had no choice, so that's why she started to walk towards home unwillingly.

After coming home , she started leading same life again, but in reality everything was not same . Now when her aunt gave any work to her, that work got completed so early as no one can believe. Sometimes she remained shocked herself that how she had done that . But now she was happy because her aunt now remained happy with her every time, might be it was the result of her quick work or something else , she didn't know . Her aunt was also astonished that how she does so much work so quickly.

She was in such type of suspicions , then one day a badly ill patient came to her uncle for treatment, her uncle saw the patient, his condition was critical , his forehead was burning due to high fever, he asked Sarla to brought the ointment and put it on his forehead.

Her aunt was watching all this , as soon as Sarla touched his forehead to put the ointment, he got up instantly and said oh i am alright now, while few minutes back , he was lying down as a dead man and was not able to sit properly. He was really looking completely healthy now. Sarla and her uncle was shocked that how it happened, but her aunt's suspicion seemed to be over now .

As she was sure now that some power was working behind it, so she asked to Sarla how she got changed from some days, then Sarla told her aunt about that incident when she went for suicide and everything got changed .

Her aunt was a clever woman, so she didn't take much time to understand that it is none other than the power of Goddess Durga, which was helping Sarla. So now she decided to take advantage of her power for making money. She talked with Rohini, who was her neighbor to clear her doubt and when she advised her the same thing which she was thinking then she took the decision to talk to her husband, but while she talked to her husband, the incidence became talk of town.

Next day she talked to her husband and told him the whole incidence with Sarla . Her husband loved her niece but he was also a greedy man. So she convinced him easily to use her powers for making money.

Now they started to charge a huge fees from every patient and now patients were also ready to pay their charges because they had already heard about that news that how that patient became healthy instantly by only one touch of Sarla.

After that they made a lot of money by Sarla, they were very happy and now Sarla was also happy , because their behavior had changed completely with her, now they always praised Sarla before anyone and also started caring her like their own child.

But this happiness was not for a long time , soon she started remaining sad again, as her uncle , aunt's greediness had so much increased that they were now not ready to cure any poor man who was not able to pay their charges.

So she decided that she will stop this practice , but she was helpless before them.

One day four young man came to her house with their ill father and asked her Uncle to cure their father. They were looking wealthy people, they were saying that if their father will be cured then they will give as much money to her Uncle and Aunt as much they want. Her Uncle called Sarla and said touch their father , but as Sarla saw their father, she told them that he is dead and not be cured now.

They requested her to make him alive for only few minutes , so that they can take his signature on his will so that they can divide his property between them.

She refused them to do so and said it is not possible. They were known with Sarla's miracles , so they almost started praying to Sarla and his Uncle and Aunt. Please do it one time for them and were saying again and again that they will give her as much money as she wants.

Then her Uncle and Aunt started pressuring her and said to Sarla do it for last time after that they will not say anything like this to her to do.

Then Sarla said , Goddess is saying her that don't do it , if you will do so then your power will be gone. Hearing that her Uncle , aunt said no worries , do it , after that there will be no need to do the work for them.

At last she agreed and she touched him, he got alive, meantime Sarla got fainted and fell down on floor. He signed his will and died after few minutes. His sons were so happy now , they gave a lot of money to Sarla's uncle and aunt and returned.

Sarla also woke up after few minutes and started leading her life again, but after that incidence , she were never able to cure anyone.

Some people still says that she possess Goddess power yet, some says no , she doesn't have any power now.


But now Sarla's Uncle and Aunt has stopped, forcing her to do what she doesn't like.....
