MAGIC
The thing in life I find most tragic,
It seems we’ve lost our taste for magic.
Yet it’s here and over there,
All around us, everywhere.
Plant a seed and watch it grow,
Why it does that, don’t you know - it’s magic.
Squeeze some grapes and in good time,
You will find it turned to wine - it’s magic.
Those old wise men with hair of gray,
Heed not a word of what they say.
Summer, Winter, Spring and Fall,
They really think they know it all.
When their hair has turned to white,
Perhaps by then they’ll see the light.
Which when it shines on things mysterious,
Reveals the answer, true and serious - it’s magic.
