Mad Bad Day
Born 2006, M, from PORTLAND, United StatesJimmy crept into the kitchen, and took a piece of candy out of the big candy bag. It was so good, he took another piece, and another. Soon Jimmy devoured 1/10 of the big candy bag while watching tv and went back to sleep at 1:30 without his parents knowing....
Whoosh!!! Jimmy rushed around the gym dodging and flinging foam balls at the other team. Suddenly someone from the other team snuck into Jimmy’s turf, distracted Jimmy’s team, and, before he knew it, his whole team was out. Jimmy started to run and throw balls at one kid, he got that kid out, but the other team got Jimmy out as well.
At music, while playing Four Corners, the blindfolded kid shouted ”One!” Got a few kids out, then everyone went to corner one. Jimmy said to a kid “That’s unfair!”
The kid said “I don’t care!” Then went to corner one. That made Jimmy annoyed.
At recess, while playing wall-ball, when it was time for Jimmy to hit the ball, his opponent got in the way for Jimmy to hit the ball, the judge called Jimmy out, Jimmy explained that his opponent got in the way, but the judge called Jimmy out anyway. That made Jimmy mad.
For the rest of the day, everyone called Jimmy names. After school while walking home, someone made a joke about Jimmy, “Hey Angry bird? Calm down, you need an ice pack?” Everyone around Jimmy started to laugh, someone even threw a ice pack at Jimmy’s feet. Jimmy picked up the ice pack, and threw the ice pack at somebody, then kicked the person who made the joke about him. Jimmy was furious.
At a basketball game that night, a opponent tried to score, but Jimmy tried to block the kid off. The ball was shot, the ball tipped off JImmy’s fingers, into the net, scoring for his team. Jimmy’s team was mad at him. Jimmy explained that the game was to be for fun and not to be took seriously. But this team kept saying stuff like, “Why didn't you score for us!!!” Jimmy’s head exploded. He pushed a teammate into a basketball cart, and punched a teammate in the face. Someone tried to calm Jimmy down, but Jimmy gave them a kick. One teammate kicked Jimmy, and he returned a punch. The coach stood in front of the two boys, but the coach just got in the way. Jimmy punched the coach, then tackled the kid who attacked him. He started punching the kid to the ground, the other team and the referee came to see what was going on. Jimmy threw basketballs from a basketball cart at the other team, and kicked the ref in the stomach. The people from the bleachers came to see what was going on after Jimmy took out his whole team and coach. Jimmy sent basketball carts in waves, at his parents, at his friends, and everyone else. Two people tried to escape Jimmy’s horror, but Jimmy did something terrible, he pushed a empty basketball cart toward the people who were running from Jimmy. Then Jimmy bounced onto the basketball cart, he leaped at one person landing on the person’s back, punching him.The cart ran over the other person. Jimmy screamed. Suddenly, Jimmy’s anger pushed him to the ground, Jimmy was so mad that he passed out!!!
Morale of the story: Candy makes you hyper, don't eat too much candy. Also, get at least 6 hours of sleep or you start getting temper tantrums and angry easily.
(The beginning and the moral were the only things I added to the main story. And since I wrote this in 3rd grade or 4th grade, it might not make sense. Thank you for understanding. :D )

10/20/2018Hi Austin, I think it's a great story, except for the part about the candy not fitting the story, and therefore not providing the 'moral' lesson you mentioned at the end. It is true that candy makes you hyper, but only in the short term, right after you eat it. Since he ate the candy and went to sleep, it did not actually make him hyper or give him a sugar high. And even if he went to play games right after he ate the candy, a sugar high does not make someone angry and violent with others, and would definitely not provide an excuse for any of the things he did that were wrong. I like it that you suggested kids get enough sleep to avoid 'getting temper tantrums and angry easily', though. I'm sure a good night's sleep can help a lot of kids and adults to function better in the day time. But i think Jimmy's anger issues are a lot more serious than simply avoiding sugar or sleeping well can cure. He seems to need some help from a professional to learn how to control his anger better, so that he does not end up hurting someone seriously, and then end up in a juvenile detention facility. Glad your story is just fiction. Thanks for sharing it. :-)

11/01/2018I didn't get angry, it was all fake. I was just saying that two things were something that happened to me in real life, the rest was fake.

10/20/2018Was that the day after you ate so much candy? So that is why you associated the candy with the things that made you angry the next day? It is okay to get angry, but when you start throwing things at people or becoming physically aggressive, then it gets a lot more serious. I'm glad the more violent parts of your story were fiction, even if the anger part you described in the beginning was true.
