Dreams(Shyann Verespie) (Note that the author was 10 years old when she wrote this story.)


Shyann and Dixie, her dog, went for a little walk on a Thursday morning. When they got home, it was about 3:30. So Dixie and Shyann got some water and a snack. At 5:00, they watched a movie, but Shyann was tired, so she stopped the movie, got Dixie, went to her room and fell asleep.

The next time she looked up Dixie had said something, don`t ask me what, but Shyann said, "Dixie, you`re just a mutt!"

"Ya! I know!" Dixie replied

"No, really, you are." Shyann said with a grin.

"Whatever" Dixie said. Just as she said that, the fire fighter`s dog went by, but when he was almost gone he started barking!

"What was that all about?" Shyann demanded.

"Nuthin" Dixie replyed. Shyann looked at her with knowing eyes, and those eyes knew she was lying.

The next day, Shyann and Dixie went for a walk. Shyann tryed to get info out of Dixie, but no luck.

That night, Shyann wondered, how can I talk to dogs when I`m a person??
Shyann bolted up in her bed which startled Dixie. She realized that it was all a dream. She looked at Dixie and said "Do not date the fire fighter`s dog!"
