Work, is for every one. We have to work to make a living. Some have to search for this job for years. Some were lucky and simply have to sit at home and be employed. I have a friend whose uncle worked at a bank, he did not waste any time while he finished school to be employed. Though, the young man struggled to make second class lower in his do degree result. With the money that he was paid, he was able start his masters degree. Today, he is a lecturer. Yet, there is another story that baffles me....please, read it...
He is a young man, just as I am. He did well in the school. Every one accepted he is one of the best students while in the university. He was always seen in the university library or the class or the church. He was forever dedicated to his duty, that he would never be detracted. The girls that loved and would want to date him were told to wait till he Lea WS the school.
After graduating from the university, he decided to apply for a job. The young man went to apply for a managerial position in a big company. He passed the initial interview, and now would meet the director for the final interview.
The director discovered from his CV that the youth’s academic achievements were excellent. He asked,“Did you obtain any scholarships in school?”
the youth answered “no”. ” Was it your father who paid for your school fees?”
“My father passed away when I was one year old, it was my mother who paid
for my schoolfees.” he replied.
” Where did your mother work?” “My mother worked as
clothes cleaner.” The director requested the youth to show his hands.
The youth showed a pair of hands that were smooth
and perfect. The owner of the company was disappointed. He has seen the man, he is going to employ but the young graduate seem not be ready. He didn't know what to do. If he had been at home, he would do better. He needs a young man who has human sympathy.
” Have you ever helped your mother wash the clothes before?” “Never, my mother always
wanted me to study and read more books. Besides, my mother can wash clothes faster than me.
The director said, “I have a request. When you go home today, go and clean
your mother’s hands, and see what it looked like. He didn't know that tears will blind him. He looked at the hands of his mother and found cuts and pain. That day, he starts washing the clothes himself, to the time that he is to come back to the company. He would employ someone to help when he gets the job.
After a month, he applied to the company again as scheduled, and the owner of the company asked to see his hands. The young man showed to him a hand that is not smooth. So the owner of the company realizes he has seen his man and concluded by giving him a Jon and advice to know that the road to success is always rough like his hands.
