Death cannot be predicted

A boy who used to be sizzling with youth was about to meet his demise. Doctors told his parents that he would be lucky if he survived another month or two. The young man didn't quite take the news the way his parents expected him to. He just smiled and told them, "We are all going to die sooner or later, and the doctors still didn't give an exact date, did they?" Although he said all that he still felt uneasy about the news. He thought that if he's in the endgame now, he might as well kiss the girl he likes.

The following day he asked that girl out but she didn't seem to be much interested. He then made a proposal that he'll do one thing whatever it may be for her in order to earn the kiss. She thought about it for a moment and then agreed. She gives him a whole month worth of assignments that were to be submitted in a week and tells him to complete them. He takes on the job, for the next seven days he did nothing but work on those assignments, he even forgot his own assignments. At last, the day came, he gave her the assignments and got his kiss in return. It lasted only about an instant for the girl, but for him, it was like time had stopped. His first and perhaps his last kiss. As he was thinking this, it occurred to him that it is too early to give up. He started living to the fullest more than ever, he seemed much livelier than ever before. Just like that two months passed.

A few days later he was hit by a car and died. Death was inevitable but nobody expected him to die like this.

I enjoyed your story, but was hoping for a happier and more inspirational ending. However, of course life doesn't often have happy and inspirational endings. And you are right that death is unpredictable and we can never know the day or hour of our end. This is why it is best to live our lives to fullest and do as much living as we can before our life is over. Thanks for driving home that point th...

Again I'm really glad that you liked it. Things don't always go as people predict, that's why we should live to the fullest and never be afraid of death because ultimately death will be our salvation.
