Abigail's joy knew no bound, finally she's now a proud mother, finally she has a reason to want to live, finally she has someone she can fall back to and finally she has a replica of Vincent. The fact that Vincent lives on in her baby makes her want to love him more even in death, deep in her spirit she know he is happy wherever he is and that is enough contentment for her.
As the nurses stretch her baby to her in admiration, she felt tall, she felt so unique and special, life now has a meaning for her and for the first time in months she wants to live life to the fullest. As she stares into her baby's eyes she the replica of her late husband, his eyes, the way he stares so compassionately, his nose, his lips and round face all represent Vincent, everything about her baby showcase him and that gives her more joy.
She couldn't thank her parent enough for standing by her side all through her trying times, she wonder what would have become of her story if not for the love and support of lovely father, mother and brother, watching them seat by her bedside made her feel loved and cared for, if she were to be given an opportunity to come back to earth again she would still request for her parent to still be her guardians on earth, they were all she ever wished for and can't help but love them so much.
"Thank you Mum and Dad for standing by me through my trying days, i'll forever be grateful for your love and care and i love you all so much". Said Abigail with a smile so bright that light a full room.
"My Daughter you mean the world to us and is our duty to protect, there is no point thanking your Mum and i when all we're doing is the duty that God has called us for". Replied Mr Osage humbly.
The way her mum looked at her with a smile so perfect, she knew almost immediate that she was proud to have a Daughter like her, she just stepped forward and then gave her a long hug. It felt perfect, she was almost immediately certain it was the hug she has been waiting to receive and she was grateful it didn't pass her by.
Two days passed fast and Abigail was certified okay and in good health condition to go back, it was a huge relief for her that she was finally going back home, she miss the warmth of her room and she wait to assume the role of a mother to her child, that is one aspect of life she's so eager to fulfill and she know within herself that she will do just fine.
While she was on her way home in the company of parent and younger brother, she passed through one of the wards and who she saw threw her completely off balance.
Abigail couldn't bring herself to accept what she just saw, but the more she drew more closer the clearer it becomes and the more scared she gets. Right in one of the hospital bed is her hospital close friend and colleague Micheal, he was lying so helplessly that you need to look closely before you can recognize him, he look so malnourished, haggard and seriously sick. His body was tiny and his head so big, his eyes were yellowish, you could hardly feel his presence in a room with so much space.
She couldn't believe is that same Micheal who was full of live, very hand with pompous body that could be easily mistaken for a over fed white rich kid, very vibrant and full of energy, hardly will you find him sulking, he is always playful, jovial and funny, what seems not to understand is what happen to him that made him look so depreciated in health, she still cannot bring herself the fact that he is the one until she called out his name, slowly he opened his eyes, looked at her and with a smile that looked like a sign of relieve.
"What happened to you?". She asked with a concerned face.
"Please forgive, i've offended you and your family greatly". Was all he could muster strength to say.
Both Abigail, her parent, Micheal's Mum and her junior Brother Paul all watch in agog, for a seconds they all told he was gradually loosing his senses, but the fact that he looks calm and seem to be in his right senses gave them reason to think backward.
"What are you talking about?" Asked Abigail curiously. "I don't remember you offending me, more so my family, you're a good man and i appreciate you for that". She added with a compliment.
Micheal smile with a lot of contentment, you could easily tell he was happy it was coming directly from her. He signal his Mum to help him seat upright which she did exceptionally well, he asked if Abigail could come a little closer to him and with hesitation she did as he had requested.
He held Abigail by the hands, slowly tears begin to slip down his cheeks, for a seconds she felt like joining him, seeing him in that state breaks her heart and even though he hasn't said anything she felt like forgiving him already.
Micheal narrate to the hearing of Abigail who listen with disbelieve and other members of her family how he poisoned her husband all because he was jealous of his position at the office, he thought by erasing him totally from the face of the earth he would be made to assume his position since he was the second in command but he met the shocker of his life when the position was offered to a staff lesser in rank to him and since then Vincent has not allowed him rest for a day, it has been from one torment to the other.
Abigail couldn't believe what she just heard, she hated him almost immediately, she felt like strangling him to his death, how could he do this to her, how could he be so heartless and selfish as to deny her and her baby the love of a husband and a father. Extremely exasperated she turn to leave but for the plea of Micheal's Mum, her parent and his state of health, she couldn't help but forgive him, she felt if she doesn't forgive him now he would dies at any moment and she would live with the guilt forever.
Suddenly Micheal started convulsing but before they could get the Doctor to attend to him he had already gave up the ghost, it was as if what kept him alive all this month is Abigail's forgiveness and now that he has gotten it on a platter of gold, it is now time to rest in peace.

Micheal confessional statement change Abigail's perception of life, she made up her mind never to put her trust in any man because to her human will always disappointment you, if anybody had warned her of Micheal's intentions she wouldn't have hesitated before calling the person an enemy of progress. She decided it wise to put her trust in God, her maker, at least with God by her side no disappointment can bring her down. She thought to herself.
That week pass fast, she just concentrate her whole time and effort in her child, she believe raising a fine child who will one day grow up to make her proud is all she needs to live a fulfilling life, nothing else matters but baby, one seconds out of her sight is like a hundred years in the wilderness, she sometimes wonder how miserable live will get without her baby.
The following sunday she returned home after church service only to meet her Mother in-law, Father in-law and her Brother in-law in the sitting, comfortably seated in the midst of her parent, she cannot place her finger on what it is they discussed but from all indication they looked a lot relief and there wasn't any look of worry on their face, her stomach suddenly became sour with anger, she was overtaken with range for her parent, why would they even let them in. She at first wanted to go back but she realize they're not worth the stress and without making any effort to acknowledge their presence she just walked passed them but was quickly called back by her Dad
"Yes! What is it" She replied him with so much anger in her voice.
"My Daughter please seat down, it is you we've come to see". Pleaded her father in-law politely.
"No! I would rather stand".
Even though she knew her attitude is necessary to help regain her respect in the sight of her in-law, but their sudden politeness humbles her a lot, she can't say exactly what their motives are but she's enjoying every bit of it.
"We understand how you feel and if you asked us to leave these minute i swear we won't hold it against you because we deserve even more, we treated you wrongly and that is why we've come to say sorry, please forgive us". Said her Mother in-law while making effort to go on her knees but was stopped half way by Abigail whose timely intervention was superb.
She didn't know how but gradually tears begin to rain shower from her eyes, for the first time in months she felt light, it was easy for her to forgive, she felt her mother in-law gripped her so tight, she made no effort to break herself loose, she just wanted them to live the moment to the fullest and together they for the first time cried like a baby
Her brother in-law just buried his head in shame as they all watched in admiration. Finally she's going to live her dream again, the fact that she has been vindicated made her feel fulfilled and blessed.
The week that followed, she was fully reinstated back into her in-law's family, all her husband's seized houses, landed properties, cars, bank account and investment where all returned back to her. Life would have been complete if her husband is still alive but she didn't let that deter her anymore, she just want to live for her baby and made sure he lives a happy.
To immortalized her husband she felt it wise to name her child after him and it in a great way help Vincent continue living in her.
