One day Tom wanted to go to the top of a tall mountain. Mt. Hood in Oregon to be exact. It was a few hour's drive to get there but the road trip was really beautiful, plus there was no traffic. Soon, he saw the mountain topped with snow. He thought it would be smaller but as he neared he realized how massive it was. It even went through the clouds! He knew the day would be long but he was excited to hike to the top, or the summit. He spent the night at the bottom of the mountain and the next morning he packed his camping gear and set off. It was a very sunny day and there were no clouds. At one point, he saw a deer and a few more after that. Hey! he said out loud. There's a stream going down the mountain into a beautiful, mirror-looking pond. The water was so clear that many fish could be seen. He was about 3/4 of the way up the mountain and had a beautiful view. Before long, he saw the top and couldn't believe that he would soon be standing there. Fifteen minutes later he found himself at the top and had never seen such a panoramic view. This moment was the biggest accomplishment of his life!
