Mass murders seems to be a weekly occurrence around the globe these days. Nothing shocked me more than in my own country on 15th March this year where many lives were lost in a mosque shooting by just one lone radical gunman.
I am pretty sure it shocked every peace loving person on the planet.
Today again I wake up to yet another mass killing in the US. This follows yesterday’s mass killing.
It does not seem right to any of us but how can we stop it happening.
To me I see it’s right in front of our faces. Educate children to love one another no matter who that other may be. Start educating children from the day they are born. Don’t teach them about guns, Don’t teach them that they are better than their neighbour, Don’t teach them that their colour or their religion is the only one that matters.
It’s hard to reason with some people. But what if, just what if, we didn’t have skin. Then what would people see. They would not see Black, white, yellow and so on.
They would see we are all the same, exactly the same. Colour would not matter.
Then of course we have religion, what is religion really about?
It’s about praying to ones god isn’t it. Who is god? Is your god right? is my god right?
Does it really matter that we worship differently at the end of the day? prayer and worship are all in place for one reason. To make us better people, to wish the best for our fellow man, to be kind, to be generous and to love and to help one another.
Myself included we all talk about destroying weapons that these radicals use to kill, but unfortunately these radicals are not the people that will give up weapons without a fight, they are not the people that want peace in the world, and that’s because it’s all comes back to education. They are NOT taught by their parents and teachers or by many politicians to love and respect each other.
