Dr. West turned the compass left and right as he made his way to the spot where the city of gold was supposed to be. He has been looking for the city for years and finally got his coworker to help him find it. “How much longer until we get to the city of gold?” Dr. Carson said impatiently as they continued their 5 hour hike through the dense forest. “Don’t be so impatient, we are almost there according to my calculations.” Dr. West said as he weaved In between trees and stopped on a random leaf. “The entrance is here.” Dr. West exclaimed as he looked around. “You do realize that’s a leaf right?” Dr. Carson said. “This is why you are here.” Dr. West said as he pouted and kept walking. They walked for about 5 more minutes until Dr. West stopped in front of a sinkhole. “Here it is.” He exclaimed as he tried to bend down and stick his whole body in the hole. Dr. Carson caught him by his shoe right before he fell in. “Thank you Carson.” Dr. West said as he playfully gave him a handshake. “I am so excited! I finally found it.” Dr. West exclaimed as he started jumping around the sinkhole and tripped over a rock. This time Carson did not catch him by the shoe so he fell slowly down the sinkhole. “Nooooo!” He yelled as he hit the bottom of the sinkhole hard. “Dr. West?” Dr. Carlson asked as he concerningly looked down into the sinkhole. “I have a rope and I’m coming down!” Dr. Carson blurted out as he found some rope to repel himself down into the hole. He was about halfway into the hole when a suspicious noise stopped him. There was a panting noise, almost like a dog. Then out of nowhere, out pops a golden retriever. “That’s what they meant by the City of Gold!” Dr. Carson said as he put 2 and 2 together. He continued down the hole and was greeted by the friendliest golden lab he has ever met. “I sure do love the city of gold.” He sighed as he shook Dr. West awake to show him the dogs. Dr. Carson slowly made his way through a small passageway and into a huge dirt hole with a golden castle and thousands of golden labs roaming around. There were tunnels everywhere for the dogs to leave and live above ground, but they all seemed like they wanted to stay in the City of Gold.
