Arthur is Jewish. He's still waiting for the Messiah. He firmly believes the coming savior of the world is yet to come. So, Arthur goes to the Synagogue every week, reads the Torah and talks with wise Rabbis about the Jewish faith. Arthur works as an accountant for a book publisher in Tel Aviv and works very hard. He loves chocolate and is married to a girl from Jerusalem. His Jewish faith is his spiritual expression of divine faith.
Borat is Muslim. He believes Allah recited the words of the Quran exactly to Mohammed in the way they are written down. Borat works as a waiter in London, regularly visits the National Gallery to admire the Rubens paintings, but would like to be an imam one day. To him, Islam is the only real religion. He prays to Mekka every day.
Charlotte is Christian. She believes every word of the Bible is true. To her, all other religions are false faiths and that God is a jealous God. God ceased to be God when Jesus was resurrected. Now, Jesus is God. The Bible is unquestionable. Privately, Charlotte loves French wine and listens to Justin Timberlake in her free time.
David is Buddhist. He was an atheist mountain climber until he discovered Tibetan Buddhism after climbing the Mount Everest in 2012. Now he believes in a Nirvana, in the cycle of rebirth and in Buddha's only truth. David is a classical violinist and regularly plays afternoon matinees at the library.
Esther is Hindu. After losing her eye sight on one eye after a car accident, she married her Indian eye surgeon and moved to New Delhi. Now, she believes Krishna can save mankind. She has four children and is hired as a speaker to spread the Hindu message. To her, everyone else is wrong. She is right.
Fujito is Shinto. He's a Tokyo businessman that firmly believes in the Japanese Gods of the Kami. He believes the Kami are polytheistic and manifest into many forms in animals, plants and humans. It actually flows through everything he does, but Fujito loves Manga, Sushi and the Heavy Metal Band The Lovebites.
Gordon is an avid atheist. He is a fast reader, being a professional copywriter. Gordon reads loads of Stephen Hawking and massive amounts of anti religious literature, just so he can prove to all the believers that they are wrong. He often goes to his favorite bar on 34th Street to listen to jazz and drink Tequila. It makes him feel good.
Henry is a Quantum Physicist. He believes the universal intelligence has always existed, that everything is eternal, that everything is vibrating energy, that the universe never ends, that time is relative, that we manifest our own reality. Henry loves Spanish wine, adores Sammy Davis Jr. and often smokes Cuban cigars.
These eight people are all human.
