“Ahhhhh! It’s coming for me!” I screamed. I could hear my feet banging on the pavement as I ran. My heart is beating so fast I can feel it. I risk a glance behind me. It was still there. What is it? Is it a wolf? Is it a bear? Or both? Will it eat me? Oh god, I hope not. I don’t want to die. I was getting tired. Yes! Light! I sprint out of the woods and run towards the light. I hope it's a car. Oh god, it’s not. It’s just a stupid lighthouse. Maybe there are people inside! But if there are, how do I get their attention? I will try to jump up and down while screaming. I quickly glance behind me and it’s farther away, so I start jumping up and down while screaming. Yes! I hear something. Is it a human though? Or is it a vampire? I stand there dumbfounded, not knowing whether to run towards the monster or wait for whatever was coming. I quickly decided to stay and wait. It stepped out from behind the lighthouse. It looks strangely like a vampire. The vampire-like thing started to approach me. Quickly, to my instincts, I run as fast as I can into the woods avoiding whatever was coming for me. I quickly come to a halt when the vampire-like thing appears right in front of me. I get ready to defend myself, getting in a stance. I was dazed when it opened its mouth. What I saw were two vicious, bloody fangs. I stumble back, trying to run the other way. The vampire was slowly walking towards me when it decided to pounce on top of me. I fought and fought, struggling to break through when I felt a sharp pain on my neck. I’ve been bitten. I stare up at the sky, thinking, I’m gonna die, and everything went black. The next thing I remember was hunger. For blood. I slowly got up, and all I could think of was what could I eat! What animal had the best blood? Then I remembered the beast that was chasing me! It looked delicious. I wonder if the beast had a family I could also eat. Consumed in my thoughts, I almost forget about the vampire that bit me. Could it be my new best friend? I think so! I’ve never had a friend that truly understands me. Excited, I ask the vampire, “Would you like to be my friend?”
“Sure, why not? We will act as one from now on.” the vampire said.
“What is your name?” I asked.
“Lucifer,” he said in a gravelly voice.
“Mine is Jenny,” I answer. The vampire nods.
“Do you want to eat?” My eyes widen at those words.
“YESYESYESYESYESYESYES!” I answer excitedly. I was so hungry, I could eat a cockroach. Lucifer and I, started our journey together to get food as a pair. We looked around for food, but all we could find were leaves and branches. Disappointed, I sit down on the ground, hanging my head. Suddenly, I hear a malicious growl behind me. “Watch out!” cried Lucifer. In a flash, I’m on my feet, staring face to face to that ugly beast. I flashed my fangs to the beast, and it looked startled. Taking advantage of its surprise, I pounce onto it, sinking my fangs into it’s stupid, ugly, disgusting face. The creature howled so loud it could break glass. I ignore its howl, and I continue sinking my fangs into its freaky face. I relish it’s blood, and I feel invincible. Out of the corner of my eye, I can also see Lucifer consuming it’s blood out of it’s back. I look to my other side and see 3 more creatures. It was its family. I was starstruck. Lucifer and I had found the jackpot. I pulled my fangs out of the creature’s face and charge at the others. Lucifer and I bit deeply into the creature's neck. I felt a pang of remorse for these creatures, but it went away shortly after I realized how good their blood tasted. Lucifer and I fed on the beasts for a while until there was no blood left to drink. Their bodies looked like dried cranberries. I was so full I felt like I would explode. So I did. The End.
