My support for LGBT community
I’m not a member of this community, I’m a straight female. But I dedicate this true story for the sufferers and some victims. I have got one cousin who is a lesbian. My family approves this. We don’t have another chance anyway! This is for her own mental wellbeing.
I know and heard many people get bullied and they commit suicide because of being different.….. What a harsh ending! It’s just not fair is it? When they only want to fit in with everyone else.
I have experience in psychology; I have worked with many psychologists.
So here are some examples so that you can understand what these people go through:
Eg 1: Sam is a 14 year old young teenager; she experiences depression and an eating disorder. She knows she is different, she feels excluded from her family and friends. She is trying to figure out her identity and feels the pressure to hide her sexuality.
Eg 2: Rob is an 18 year old young man. He gets help for being gay with headspace clinic. His psychiatrist has given him an exact and clear diagnosis. He is gay. He feels pressure to hide his sexuality too. He desires to marry his boyfriend because in Australia same sex marriage is a legal now.
Eg 3: John is a good looking, handsome man, he always tries to hide his pain with a smile on his face, he is full of life, he cracks jokes when he is with his friends. He makes people laugh so well. People don’t know this but, he actually feels a lot of shame in himself. But he has no control over who he chooses as a partner. He wishes he was straight but that doesn’t help it. He just wants to be normal too. He feels lost and drowning in his thoughts. He has battles he fights behind closed doors. He is having a pretty tough time.
I hope this helps you better.
Sadly, in Christianity and Islam, the bible and Quran doesn’t accept same sex marriage. It is said that your destination will be hell. If you believe in afterlife. But how can one live like this? Knowing this, it’s so difficult.
But if you’re a member of LGBT community you can help as many people as you can. Give money to the homeless, poor and orphans. By doing this your sin will become lesser. But I don’t hold any sides. I only guide people as much as I can.
My point is, I knew a Turkish transgender who lived in Turkey. By the way, I have a Turkish background too. I listened to her story. In her last video, she was speaking and crying at the same time. For some viewers this might have been disturbing content.
Holding a cigarette in her hand she said, “I couldn’t do it, because people didn’t let me, I hope you all stay with your conscience.” She then ended the video. She was inside a taxi driver’s car at that moment. She was seriously planning on leaping over a bridge in Istanbul and the taxi driver took her there and left her to commit suicide! He did not stop her or do anything!
This is total ruffianism!
I strongly do not tolerate this kind of heartless behavior!
And it shouldn’t be accepted at all!
But let’s think of it this way, if only, if only, it turned out like this,
Taxi driver: “There are many opportunities in life surely you will find someone who understands and accepts you in a job”
Transgender: “I tried so many times, with different agents, employers, but none of them gave me a job”
Taxi driver “Hey look, you know what? I want to give you a chance”
Transgender: “Sure I’ll do everything to meet your needs and requirements; I will definitely be trustworthy and loyal to you”
Taxi driver: “Okay I want to give you a job of being a taxi driver. Would this help and suit you?”
Transgender: “Oh my god! Of course it will! Thank you so much!”
They both share a hug. With her tears dripping down her face.
See, if her story turned out like this in a better way, with more compassion, support with giving just ONE CHANCE, she wouldn’t have died! This is my point in this story. But unfortunately and truthfully, she dies in a ruthful way because of no help and kindness from people.
I hope she is in a better place now and I hope her soul rests in peace. And all the other victims in Orlando shooting etc….. She did not deserve this because this was never a good enough reason to die…….
I have no other words to describe this painful tragedy……!

10/24/2019It is a terrible tragedy when anyone commits suicide, whether LGBT or not, and it is horrifying that a taxi driver would take someone to their suicide without trying to stop them. However, perhaps he did try before the video started and then decided if she was going to do it anyway, she would just get a ride from someone else or take a bus, so he decided to honor her wishes. Also, most taxi drivers are either employed by an agency, in which case he could not have offered her a job, or they are self-employed and their taxi is their business. There can only be ONE driver in a sole proprietor taxi business. So your alternative case scenario for the taxi driver and his passenger was not realistic.
However, I can see that you have a heart for those who are struggling with sexual identity issues, and that is a good thing. Maybe your thoughts will help others to be more compassionate.
