AN ENCOUNTER I'LL NEVER FORGET
M, from London, Ontario, CanadaI was walking my dog along the beach on a Sunday afternoon last month sometime, when I came upon the most bizarre thing I've ever seen in my life! Bart all of a sudden reared up and started growling like someone or something was going to kill us both and the hair on his hide was standing straight up on end. It seemed that the sand all around us, like in a thirty or forty-yard radius was moving and undulating in a rhythmic blur. We both leaped out of the living circle of sand just in time to see a vortex starting to form. Slowly the sand turned and turned, at the same time the wind started, softly at first. The sand vortex started picking up speed going faster and faster, the wind increasing and starting to howl like a banshee screeching in my ears. There was a strange greenish blue pulsating light on the sand's surface. I thought my heart was going to give out, it was pounding like a trip hammer. I looked down at Bart and he was whimpering now, but he stayed at my side as the alien craft surfaced from the pits of Hell. The sand turned to glass as the monster fired its engines. I had to cover my ears as it slowly lifted off with a shrieking noise I'll never forget and then suddenly, it was gone. The last thing I saw of it was a long streak in the night sky and then it was out of sight.
