Underneath The Rubble!
Underneath the rubble of the twin towers and the loud sound of sirens, I see a small glimmer of light, but soon I'm engulfed by the darkness that surrounds me. It seems this will be my grave. soon I will die. The pain in my legs is unbearable. A small tear rolls down my face as images of my friends, family and colleagues fill my head. The people I adore I will soon lose. Suddenly I hear muffled voices and a bark of a dog. I try to scream but my throat is raw. I try to move but I’m in too much pain. It’s hopeless. seconds turn into minutes to hours, hours to days, my heart stops, my body freezes and I realise I’m not alone. Then a hand touches me. I scream internally. My head is racing, my heart is thumping at the speed of light. Who is this, what’s happening, where am I. My eyes start to droop and black. I wake up to be blinded by bright lights and to hear the cacophony of noises in the distance. I see people in scrubs walking by and I realise that I'm in a hospital. A few minutes later a doctors walks in with some heart breaking news to tell me. he said that I’ll never walk again. he explained that my legs were paralysed. but I fought hard and went through a lot of physiotherapy and now today I can walk perfectly. The End!
