Reflection in the mirror

She sits down, stretches and takes her legs out from under the blanket, looks at her daughter, she is still asleep, smiles and gets up, walks down the hall that leads to the kitchen, there is a mirror, she stares at her reflection, disheveled, a little haggard, and with tired and irritated eyes, that night was not precisely her best dream, but from one moment to another, a figure that is not her appears in the mirror, an unpleasant figure, which brings her memories, too many, and not exactly good.

"Hi, weren't you expecting to see me here?"

"What do you want?"

"Calm down girl, you have very bad manners"

"What do you want?"

"You know what I want, we have a deal, I live in your mirror, I scare the police who are looking for you, you give me everything you can get and when I can get out of here, you are free, period"

"I have nothing"

She lets out a laugh.

"Do you think I'm stupid? I know you have it, the other day I saw it, you came in with nine gold coins, I want them"

"I barely have enough for food, how do you want me to give you if we starve?"

"I don't know, that part is solved by you, I just fulfill my part of the deal, where are the coins?"

"I already told you, I can't give them to you"

"Well, well, well, I'll ask your daughter, she will know where they are, Maia can you ..."

"Ok, that's enough, I'll give you five coins"

"Five? That's not much, do you know I have expenses? To get out of this damn mirror I have to pay fifty thousand gold coins, do you understand? And I've only had five hundred, give me nine o'clock"

"I can't! Maia and I have to eat, without those coins, I have nothing to buy food"

"Ok, relax, give me the nine coins and tomorrow the kitchen pantry will be full, okay?"

"Do you ... promise?"

"Yes, yes, I promise, now give me the coins"

He goes back to the room and takes out the nine gold coins from under the bed, goes back to the hall and hands them to her.

"Done, nine coins, tomorrow the pantry is full, it's a deal"

The ghost in the mirror smiles when he picks up the coins, counts them, and clenches them with his fist.

"It's a deal, see you soon, Sia"

The ghost disappears and again is its reflection.
