Stop!

Stop!

Stop crying! It ain't yet sunny,
Your neighbors are sleeping,
With their mistress and their money,
While you lay weeping.

Stop hoping! There is no cure,
For when metals rain,
No one really cares about your,
Eleven years of pain.

Stop breathing! The air is hotter,
The stale taste of chemicals,
Feeding your son and daughter,
All lost in paper; behind decimals.

Stop believing! Their compassion can stink,
All those divided, now are united,
Like brothers - on ink,
Beneath white burkha’s, agendas foresighted.

Stop trying! Uncle Sam has freed,
Into the black sky, the ‘Hawks,
Flying, landing, preying indeed,
On war-mongers breaking rocks.

Stop begging! Help’s not coming,
The benefactors are in fear,
As the traitors and the patriots keep humming,
Death chants in their ear.

Stop living! Miserable ghouls,
You are broken and you’re dead,
Your disturbed chaotic souls,
Engulfed by a sandy bed.

Stop it! Stop resisting the prophecy,
Give in, as your land falls,
And cracks, consuming your legacy,
Do not fear, Heaven calls!

Aloha Kanishka,

The fact that someone as young as you, can write something as caring and human as this, is why I don't worry about the future. One of our famous caring speakers ( Dr. Martin Luther King) once said: "The arc of History is towards Justice." Words, poems, songs, and deeds speed us along that arc....like yours!

Smiles, Kevin

Hey Kevin,
I, with my very limited knowledge of history, won't agree or disagree with King's statement. Certain things are, slowly, and not without obstruction, are moving towards betterment. Others aren't, and maybe, given time, it will .
That's a huge compliment Kevin. I hope our generation doesn't disappoint you.

superior craft" -blushes like a bride. LOL.
Thanks Jason! I wrote this a while back when Syria made the headlines. Didn't think this would be relevant till this day.

There is far too much to cry like a baby about, happening in the world these days. I wish there were clear answers, and a straight path forward to solve these kinds of traumas and devastation.
