IN THE CHAOS OF 20/20
Born 1950, M, from Sparta, il, United StatesI have been stirred to write something impactful about the chaos in 20/20. We are all obviously surrounded by it. I have heard an excessive amount of chaotic words this year. Many have been heard before but not, I believe, with this frequency and passion.
To write an essay or article would be too many words. So, I choose a shorter form, a poem, which is not my preferred form of writing. But I think it does a more effective job of expressing what I feel about this chaos we are all facing.
"In the Chaos of 20/20" I am attempting to stay non-bias. Hopefully, I accomplished that.
The attached photo is a picture I took at the place where I board my horses, just as the sun was setting.
IN THE CHAOS OF 20/20
We experienced alleged distrust of law enforcement
We experienced alleged racial inequality
We experienced alleged peaceful demonstrations
We experienced alleged constitutional takeover
We experienced alleged presidential transgressions
In the chaos of 20/20
We are subjected to flagrant media bias
We are subjected to generated fears
We are subjected to assumed lies
We are subjected to unparalleled name calling
We are relegated to massive government distrust
In the chaos of 20/20
We have frenzied renewed anger over Pro-Life vs. Pro-Choice
We have frenzied renewed anger over Gun rights
We have frenzied concern of election cheating
We have frenzied concern of democracy vs. socialism
We have frenzied concern for transfer of Presidential power
In the pandemic of 20/20
We are told by leaders
Believe the scientist
They know best, but
Tens of thousands perished
Tens of thousands lost hope
Tens of thousands lost jobs
Yet, in the chaos of 2020,
We still have God
Looking down on us
Reminding all
There still is beauty
In His world.
