It was 24 September that day, my husband came home from office a little early, he felt a bit ill, had mild fever and a little tiredness, he had his dinner and went to bed early. The next morning he went to office despite having fever and tiredness, it continued for 2 days. We had our 11th wedding anniversary on 26 September. We made a plan to celebrate together once he is back from office in the evening. But on the same day, from the morning my health was also down with mild fever and shivering. I felt sore throat and headache also. My husband came home early from office, on asking the reason, he said that his boss told him to stay in the home quarantine for a few days until he gets well. Now, both of us were ill and our wedding anniversary plan was left behind. Now my biggest concern was about my 8-year-old child. I started worrying that my son might become ill like both of us, and from the next day his online exams were also going to start. In such a situation it was very difficult for me to take care of myself, my husband, my son, and getting him prepared for the exams plus household chores, it was very tough for me to handle everything. A few close friends of my husband who knew about our health conditions advise us for Covid19 Test, but we decided not to go to hospital for test as we were 100% sure that we are Covid19 positive, and if we go to hospital for test they may admit us at least for two weeks and will treat us with allopathic medicines which can be harmful to the body in the long run, and finally the hefty bill from hospital. My biggest worry was that if we both get hospitalized then who would take care of my child at home in our absence. So we decided not to go to hospital or see any doctor until we are having any serious health issues. We got ourselves completely isolated from everyone for few days.
Me and my husband's Covid19 symptoms were different. He had fluctuating body temperature, sometimes low grade fever, sometimes high grade fever, body ache, cough, weakness, loss of smell and taste. I experienced badly sore throat, cough, fever (for one day). My son felt low with mild fever but luckily my home remedies and decoction worked on him and he got well in 2 days. I brought some Ayurvedic medicines, multivitamins and Vitamin C capsules from one of my husband's friends. We continued those medicines along with my very effective home remedies and decoction. In one week, I also got well but my husband's fever was not getting down, which was worrying me a lot. I thought that maybe I have to get him admitted in hospital, then I thought let's wait for 2 more days, if his condition doesn't improve in two days then I will consult any doctor. Fortunately in 2 days his condition improved, his fever went down, he felt better. He took at least two weeks to get cured. Finally, we all are fine and recovered from Covid19 at home....
Although we are fine now and my husband has resumed his work, somewhere in my mind there is a fear that we may get corona positive for the second time too, because in India 70 to 80% people have been Corona positive and few people got second time tested Corona positive too. If this happens, will we be able to beat Corona easily for the second time, like the first time??
