A day of freedom most graciously lent,
With bronze and ivory strewn about,
To Ixion's wheel she was devout,
With wine and honey made to rejoice,
In Poseidon's lair she heard a voice,
It called to her with Siren's song,
To a lover's path where she belonged,
So held in Artemis's tight embrace,
The wheel of Ixion was soon unlaced,
As heightened bliss was to be hers,
A lover's kiss the sweetened cure.
