A Day in the Life of Santa's Elves
Born 2012, F, from Portland,Oregon, United States.jpeg)
A Day in the Life of One of Santa’s Elves
DING DONG, DING DONG! I woke up in a sleigh! As I looked into the mirror, I saw two big, pointy ears and an elf costume! “Is it Halloween?” I thought to myself. Next to me, I saw several other elves sleeping in sleighs! Where am I? It’s not Halloween!
There was only one answer: I had turned into an elf. “AAAAAAAHHHH!” I screamed.
All the others woke up and together they said,” Is it time for breakfast?” I walked out of the room and saw a gigantic cafeteria with a throne in the middle. “It’s time for breakfast!” they screamed.
“Why are you elves so excited for breakfast?” I said to them.
“To eat Chocolate Fudge Pop-Tarts and Maple syrup!” They said.
“That sounds delicious” I thought.
I saw many name tags on the tables, but none of them said my name! I walked down
the hallway and one of the doors was open! Inside, was Santa playing Minecraft!
“Hi Santa! I am trying to find my name tag on the tables, but I can’t find my name,.” I said.
“What is your name?” Santa asked.
“Martha,” I answered.
“Names that start with “M”
is not an elf name.” Santa replied.
“What? Then what is an elf name?” I asked.
“It has to start with an “E”! Hohoho!” He answered.
“Ok,so my name is Eartha?” I asked.
“Yes!” He said.
“Well, that's my elf name; not my real name! Only for elves!” I said.
I heard munching elves eating Chocolate Fudge Pop-Tarts. My tummy grumbled.
“Thanks,Santa!” I said as I skipped to my name tag. As I finished my Pop-Tart with Maple syrup, I started asking questions to the elves. DING DONG, DING DONG!
“YAY! TIME TO START WRAPPING PRESENTS!” They yelled as I followed them to this place where there was tons of wrapping paper and presents. 3 hours later, I was sweating as I finished my last present.
“Lets eat some Hershey Chocolate maple syrup,” the elves said as everyone lined up to get one cup of it.
“ No thank you,” I said, “ I have had enough chocolate.”
The little elves glared at me with an expression, everyone likes chocolate!
“OK! I will have a cup of Hershey Chocolate maple syrup!” I said trying not to make others angry.
“Let's build a snowman!” the elves yelled.
“Yay! I love building a snowman!” I thought to myself. I started rolling the 3 snow balls. I used one of the reindeer’s carrots for the nose and a stick for the arms.I also put a cloth for the dress. Then,I put some long straws for the hair. Finally, I was done with my snowman.
“We need to exercise!” the reindeers said.
“T-tha-at-t reindeer just talked…” I stuttered.
“Obviously!” one of the elves said.
“Come on! Take me to the park! I want to play!” the reindeers groaned. “
As we went on the sleigh, the reindeers ran and ran until we were flying! I was really surprised.
“Are we actually flying?” I asked the elf that was in the front.
“Yeah,we do it every day!” he answered. The other elves were still wrapping presents. We were the only ones that could take the reindeer for a quick fly. When we came back, I finished wrapping the
last Lego present. I munched on some peaches and blueberries. It was 7:00, so I
started to fall asleep in my sleigh. The next day, I woke up in my normal house! I said,
“Yay! No more elves eating chocolate and peculiar talking reindeers! Hm...maybe being an elf wouldn’t be that bad after all!”
