If the Queen by blocking it with a bishop together with a rook on the corner followed The battlefield was a deceptively simple and plain mosaic with black and white tiles. It was undecorated and stark. Nothing but a floor in the square. A battlefield that holds 64 black and white tiles, and filled with endless death, war, and hate. Only a few can fight and walk out safely. Anyone can take part in a game but a single false move will lead to instant death and triumph for the Queen.
The Queen was famous and well known as she was invincible. On that day, NewYearsDay 2050, The King was going into battle with her. He sat hunched up, chain-smoking, eyes downcast and his men got no response when they asked him questions. In contrast, the invincible Queen had her head held high, a broad grin on her face, and a sparkling crown that glimmered in the sun. The troop was cheering her clapping and celebrating with joy before the war started. The battle was short and sweet. The kingside was routed in a few moments. The Queen march towards the King and said, “Another humiliation is always open for you”. The king clenched his fists and the frown on his face was only seen by himself.
That night 20 years earlier where the king was still a little innocent prince flashed before his eyes again, as it had so many times in his nightmares. It had been a roasting hot afternoon with the temperature reaching 40 degrees celsius when a knock came on the door of their Castle. His father had opened the door and there had stood the Queen and her man nearly dead from the heat. Without even thinking about their rivalry over the ownership of Dark Land, his father had invited them in for a dinner. The King prepared the wine that was made by his men, the vegetable that took over a year to grow, and the meat that only the King family can afford to the hungry-looking Queen and her men. It was a late dark night, the King family offer the queen and her men to stay at the keep of the castle. The queen and her troop accepted the request and there all went to the keep overnight.
It was midnight and all the King’s family have fallen asleep. The Queen went to the store where there was a lot of flammable material. The soldiers of the Queen quickly scattered this throughout the castle. The Queen lit the first match and dropped it. Before long the whole castle was burning and smoke was spreading a hundred miles away. The sun rose. The castle was only ashes. The queen said: “ surely nobody survived that terrible night”. The queen traveled back to where the fire started. nothing was leftover. The King’s family had all lost their precious and short lives. at least that was what the queen thought. The Prince(King in the current story) managed to escape death by sneaking through the castle’s back door. The Prince escaped and ran the whole night until he reached dawn. After the escape, the King dreamed of nothing but revenge. He was eager to bring an end to the Queen’s life. He reached out among the people he saw and asked where the chess master was. No one cared about him except for one old man. He discovered the location and told the Prince where he was. When the Prince reached there, he absorbed all the knowledge of the master.
The sun set, and rose, days after days, weeks after weeks, and many years have passed by. The old weak prince has transformed into a stronger and more responsible King. The last time the King fought the Queen was a decade ago. The King was now ready to fight back and take revenge. One day the King and Queen met each other at the same battlefield and they set up and prepared for war. The mighty and glorious King was much more careful and stronger than he had been. It was a long and intense fight but the King managed to finish off the Queen. The King terminated the life oup by another bishop.
