I am The Green Man,

I’m John Barleycorn.

My feet shod with hooves,

My head crowned with horns.



I’ve a penchant for madness,

And a deep love of wine.

A lust for barked limbs,

And spiraling vines.



I’m there when you drink,

The waters of drama.

In your notions of hope,

Fate, intrigue, and karma.



I’m the sweat of your brow,

In a carnal embrace.

I’m the flush of the cheek,

On Serenity’s face.



Read these words, or do not,

You’re not mine to subdue.

You may disavow me,

Yet, I’m there next to you.
