Chubby cheeks, dimple chin....
Born 2005, F, from GUJARAT, IndiaChubby cheeks, dimple chin
Rosy lips, teeth within
Curly hair, very fair
Eyes are blue-lovely too
Teacher's pet, Is that you?
...
NO!
"I am skinny. I have neither chubby cheeks to make me look cute nor dimple chins to enhance my smile. How lucky are the ones who've got a perfect smile and flawless cheeks." Anna said to herself.
(Somewhere miles ago, Olivia complained of having a plump figure and "chubby cheeks".)
"Curly hair? S-sorry, but I have frizzy ear-length hair which I intentionally hide under a ball cap every time I have a baseball match. D-does that ma-ake me less at-attractive?" Stella stuttered, afraid of the people who might judge her being a tomboy.
(Somewhere in the other continent, Alisha, a girl having luscious blonde tresses, was irritated by following her hair-care regimen and wondered how comfortable it would be if she cropped it.)
"Umm, I thought I would not be embarrassed to say this but I have a bronze complexion." Abby struggled to press her fingers hard on the keyboard to type this sentence while chatting with her online friend whom she had started to like lately.
(Somewhere in the same city, Sophia thought, "Damn it, enough is enough. For how long would I have to smear the sunscreen lotion all over my body before going out. I wish I had darker skin instead of this sensitive porcelain complexion.")
For generations, we have been taught the singular beauty ideals. High cheekbones, symmetrical smile, sharp jawline, fair complexion, generous bosom, narrow waist, curvy thighs, and splendor figure altogether. The young girls, like me and like every other, buy into ideas of these irrational beauties and dwell into it. In fact, an hour ago, I myself spent around 10 minutes staring hard at my skin in front of the mirror.
--- "Is my acne getting worse?" "Holy thing, I need to grow thick brows." "Mmm, maybe face exercises and yoga would get me high and sharp cheekbones." ---
Whoever is reading this, regardless of their gender, let me tell you one thing:
YOU LOOK ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL THE WAY YOU ARE.
Nobody else can make you feel ugly until and unless you allow yourself to sink into self-pity. Just don't change for anybody else. Don't be too harsh on yourself when you see any "attractive" person or celebrity. That's all an illusion.
True beauty lies in your confidence, your wisdom, your esteem, and everything else but physical assets. After all, your's the only skin you gotta live within and your's the only heart you've to take care of.

07/29/2021True! As human beings we are all inherently valuable.
Also true that beauty of character can compensate for lack of physical attractiveness.
In fact, one of the greatest mistakes that can be made is to choose someone as a marriage-mate simply based on physical attractiveness, a characteristic which the passage of time will always decrease and which might also be merely a very thin veneer that camouflages a monstrous ani-social personality.

07/26/2021In the world of maintaining and flaunting shapes of body, you are addressing us to the true beauty of human species by quoting the sweet poem of kindergarten which we have recited umpteenth time assuming ourselves as that child being described in lyrics. Joyful face is always attractive and beautiful.
