I was a skinny kid you know. Not the type to do sports. I was lanky, I sat in the back of the class wondering what I would have for lunch. I was a sarcastic little bugger, hanging out with the “cool kids” not realizing how uncool they really were. They would pressure me into doing things. I didn’t think it was pressure though. They would tell me, “Go eat that girl’s lunch while she’s gone, go prank that person.” I was an idiot too. I would try to get away with it. “Oh principal dear buddy, I was just hungry you see, my family is low income.” The principal would hit me back with something like, “We have a free lunch program.” I would say, “I didn’t know!” And I would get free lunch for the year. Then one day I got caught. The kids told me to hack the school system and change their grades. Like my idiot self to do, I decided to ask the tech guy about it, and as soon as I walked into his office, he was on the phone with the police. The “Guys” ratted me out. Apparently, I was under arrest for truancy and resisting arrest. But that was after I sprinted out of the school and into the city park where about 3 cop cars were waiting for me. I was sentenced to 1 year of juvie and community service, and haven’t forgotten about it since.

12/08/2021Carter know that you are not your past. We all do dumb things. Learn from your mistakes and be the best you! It took courage to admit what you did and its folly. Imhabe no doubt younare a better person for owning your mistakes.
