Love(Taieba Tabassum) 1.

Today, after many years, a father suddenly feels something he never felt before. No, using the word 'never' is inappropriate. A long time ago, when he had not exchanged his life to career, he felt that way.

He suddenly realized that he had not noticed his son's face for a long time. Not only that, he can't remember the last time he spoke to his son in a soft voice with affection and love. He used to order him, or he would say harsh words to him when he was a child.

An incident came to his mind. He once slapped his son for bringing one of his friends to home. After growing up, the boy became somewhat different from him. He couldn't remember if they talked about any personal matter in the last few years.

The boy is surprised and uncomfortable because he can't find the reason behind his father's sudden question. But he also liked it.

The father notices his son after a long time. He said he was fine, but it doesn't seem so. Instead, he looks pale and skinny, as if he were suffering from a major illness. Why? But today he thinks differently.

Then he thought, maybe there is still time. Maybe he can at least make everything normal by apologizing to the boy. No, it probably won't work. But he can at least behave normally from now on.

At last he went to the boy's room. The door is open. The room is dark, he doesn't know if the boy is there. He realized that his son is actually asleep. He went to him with hesitant steps. Then he whispered, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I have hurt you so much. I know there's no point of saying this anymore, maybe it won't make things any better, but I'm still saying ..." He paused.

The boy was standing in front of the bathroom mirror looking at himself.

If not, he won't be surprised. When he was a child, he hated his father for his cruelty. As he grows older, his attitude gradually changes. It wasn't easy. He tries to be sympathetic to his father, treating him like a abnormal person. Instead of blaming on his father's cruel nature, he slowly distanced himself. He can never express his love. But he feels affection towards this cold hearted man. That is why when he is on vacation
, he returns to his lonely, pensive home. He wonders if his father will ever understand his value. He wishes to know.

After so many years, father and son look into each other's eyes without any hesitation or discomfort. They don't say anything to each other. But their eyes tell.

The boy tries to understand his father's feelings. He had never seen of his father this way before. But he knows that this is the real self of his father. His eyes are no longer cold and emotionless. Now there is pain and love for his child. The boy smiles.

The father can't remember when was the last time he smiled. He also did not know how much beauty there could be in human smile. He realized that when he saw his son's smile today. He approached the boy and took his hands.

Today, the two of them have found the answer to all their unknown questions. Today they realize how much they love each other.

The first thing the father saw when he entered the house was the the empty room which belonged to his son. The door of the room is still open. He had never entered the room before. Today he enters for the first time.

He grieves for the ones he did not love when they were alive. Everyone thinks that he is a successful person but he knows that he is a failure. His life is meaningless. But his son's life was short but meaningful. He was the one who truly lived his life. Who loved everyone unconditionally, even someone soulless like him. What a wonderful thing this love is! How powerful!

He looked around the room. He's gone, but the things in the room keeps his memories alive. It looks like he'll be back soon. Even if he is not there, his touch remains everywhere.

But the boy left something behind. Love.

He thought that if he had another chance to start a new life, he would be like his son. But now it is too late.
Even if he doesn't get a chance to fix everything, he will spend the rest of his life with the memory of those who have left. Every place in this lonely house reminds of those who have left their touch, mourns for them. Although grief is a very painful feeling, it is a human feeling. He wants to spend the rest of his life as a human being.
