Red and White
Born 2014, F, from Ho Chi Minh City, Viet NamIt's a hot summers night. Helena is on her way home, holding the flashlight tight. Her neighborhood was in a quiet, peaceful place but at night, it's certainly turn into a dark, scary place like it was abandoned. Walking slowly, Helena suddenly hear a big scream behind the dark. She panic, and try to convince herself to calm down, finding the way to the scream. It turns out to be at Thompson's house, and she was awe to see Jeremy and Jim Thompson was lying at the door with a rotten head. She was devastated to see this, so quickly called the emergency.
Lying beside them is Mrs. Thompson, who wasn't hurt but have a high convulsion. While held Mrs. Thompson up, Helena notice that she was muttering something like "It's him" continuous in her mouth. The emergency came on-time and says that Jeremy and Jim are already dead. They have been attack by someone on their forehead.
Police came and they investigate the scene. They says there are many blood but also some white paint on the scene. Helena wonder why? After that, the police let Helena join the case and describe for them what she sees. Helena says: "So awful. I see their body here, and I panic. But at 10 second before the scream, I see something white at this place." The police can't understand why the killer wear white clothes during killing? And why Mrs. Thompson muttering "It's him"? Helena starts working her mind. There must be a secret. She crawl around the garden, looking at the empty ground. Then she find some footprint. Based on these footprint, Helena guess the killer was a middle-age man, because his feet big. Also, she thinks about the white paint. Blood is red, paint is white, so it's first word are R.W, from red and white. It's can be the name of this killer. Beside, Helena found out that this 2 colors are in Canada's flag. So this is a Canadian, names R.W, and he was try to killed all this family. Helena thinks Mrs. Thompson must see the killer already, and she knew him. That's why she muttering those word.
In her family case, everyone found out that she has the ex-husband, Mr. Robert Wilson, in Canada. "So strange! If Mr. Wilson is the killer, why he left his footprint and let Mrs. Thompson see him? He also killed his sons, and hit them on their forehead, not their nape! And why he want everyone knows that he do this by pouring a bucket of white paint?" Helena wonder. Theirs only one hypothesis: Mr. Wilson want to revenge in madness. That's why he left so many clue! After a day, Mrs. Thompson be normal again and tell her story.
" It was terrible. My real name is Merope Wilson, not Leah Thompson. I married Rob and adopted 4 kids from the orphanage: Elma, Jeremy, Jim and Willie. We both live happily and have a daughter, Luna. Rob love her so much. After that, Rob and I started have different opinion and arguing very usual. Few month later, we divorced and I take care of those kids. Feeling depressed after divorce, I started drinking wine and with that, I neglect the kids. Rob will not following me if I don't left Luna at school that day, so late and then she died in a school fire. Rob hate me for neglect Luna and kept monitoring me. So scared that he will kill us to revenge, I move to Russia. But he still monitor and killed Elma to revenge, threaten us at the same time . He thinks I'll hurt. But no. I was totally indifference because of wine. And with that, I move to UK, where I think it's safe. I'm so regret about what I did in the past. Rob will come back to kill Willie, so please protect him."
Everything went to silent when Mrs. Thompson finish her story. Helena smash the silent environment by saying:" I'm honestly love Willie, and I'll protect him. These braveness policeman will solemnly swear to catch the killer." The policeman stand stunt as she says. But then, one of them yelled:" I promise!"
The night after was full with hopeless. Only Helena says she will catch the killer. 10pm, 11pm, 12pm... There he is! Robert Wilson with white coat come to killed Willie. Helena hind around the bench, suddenly yelled loudly:" Catch!" The policeman rush out from trees and grabbed his arm. Rob was madness growl: "I NEED TO REVENGE FOR LUNA!" The case close. At the end of the mountain, the sunrise up in successful.
