Burned & Besprent
Born 1997, M, from 13TH DISTRICT, AfghanistanBurned & Besprent :
"Family is everything " you may have heard this proverb so many times; I heard it when I never thought Family could be everything until I hardly experienced that.
I grew up in a small family in a remote village.
My elder brother, my sister and I.
Though our family was struggling with poverty but we still had good moments to be happy. Dad and my brothers were working hard on the farm and we had a simple happy life. That time I was a kid, so vulnerable in my family, by the time two elder brothers left the home and settled in a neighboring country, as a kid I never thought I may leave the country one day the same.
Years passed and mom passed away too!
our family became too small but Dad married again and new person came to the family. Joining a step mother in our family started the arguing. After that, I hated the family, tried to escape, but waited for a while. Soon my elder bro, sister and I left the home and started living in a rental house. I nicely remember "we will never find a moment to be together like this" my elder bro said. Still I thought it could be fun but he was right that day came so soon. My elder bro married and left my sister and I. He never cared about us, never wanted to meet us and he forgot us forever. After those years now I can understand "Family is everything". We settled in different countries, being so far from each other and I think my family was burned but became a besprent one. After all I think if we are far and living in a new place, people at that place will become our family if we have the courage to forget our early memories. To be aware of all pains and sufferings we must read about Jews Diaspora and Holocaust, millions of people far away from their loved ones burned out and became besprent.

08/29/2022Family is not created by blood but by emotions, care, and bond and that is what you proved. So. what If your blood relative doesn't live with you you just need someone to care for and have a bond with to call your family, who would stand by you in your tough times.
