Becky's Big Change
Born 2011, F, from Ball Ground GA, United StatesBecky Falcon skipped to the Big Ben in London, for her lunch at twelve pm sharp. As she arrived at her destination, she started eating on a nearby bench. Chewing her sandwich, Becky imagined what it would be like to make a change. She packed up the leftovers of her lunch, and suddenly heard some yelling, laughing, and crying. Curiously, Becky turned the corner of Urban Street, where she thought the noises were coming from. Sure enough, she saw a little boy, most likely five or six years old, getting picked on by the town bullies, Sally and John. They were only a little older than Becky, though they still towered over her and pretty much all the kids that lived around them. Becky put the remaining of her lunch down, and went over to the group.
"Hey! John! Sally! Stop bullying that kid!" Becky yelled.
When the two bullies scowled at her, the boy saw his chance and ran away.
"What do you want, Loser?" snapped Sally.
"Yeah, you made us lose the kid," John uttered.
"Sorry," Becky replied sarcastically, rolling her eyes.
She continued, "Why do you bully kids anyway?" she asked, cocking her head.
Sally shrugged, and she and John ran away, John sticking his tongue out at Becky.
The kid came out of hiding and gave her a grateful smile before running off again.
"Oh well," Becky said to herself,
"Maybe I'll make a difference someday."
She did.
