The Bloodied
Born 2009, M, from New South Wales, AustraliaAnne Rosetta walked out of the door to her recently engaged partners house and proceeded to get in her car, when her partner stumbled out as well, lugging a bin-liner with him.
‘Just taking out the trash!’ He said, flashing her a dazzlingly white smile.
As she switched on the cars engine, the bin-liner tipped. A dark red pool spilled out of the bag, staining the grass a dirty violet.
‘What is that?’ Anne shrieked, before speeding off down the street.
‘See you tonight, honey!’ He cackled.
He loosened the bin-liner and pulled a battered and bruised head out of the bag up to the neck. Blood poured down the head, into tortured eyes, drenching the creases around a smashed nose and filling a half-toothless mouth. The torn lips tried to form words, but all that came out was a rare shaky breath every so often.
‘I-I-I’m ssssorr-sor-sorry.’ He finally managed.
‘Don’t care!’ The other man quickly cut through, before yanking back the head and shoving it into the dirt, chanting,
‘Cold, cruel, heartless Bloodied,
‘Take this body, smashed and muddied,
‘Let me harness your powers, acquire your features,
‘So that I can become one of you creatures!’
As this was repeated, over and over and over again, a storm cloud appeared over that street, and that day a new Bloodied was born, another one of the deadly, blood soaked, carcass looking things that have slowly begun to populate this world, and another group of fates were sealed, and everything became more… Bloodied…
