Lost in Shame

With teary eyes, she looked up and groaned in pain.
"I can't do this any longer", she lamented to herself.
Her body was covered in bruises and marks from the sexual abuse she underwent everyday.
Locked up in a dark room for two years, she had no hope of returning to her country.

Jenny was born in a poor family in a small village in Uganda, and her parents couldn't afford to keep her to school . She struggled looking for jobs until one day when she landed on an illegal hiring company that promised her a lucrative job in an Arab country. Jenny was so excited and rushed to tell her parents the good news.
She was so overwhelmed at the thought of traveling in an aeroplane to another country.

During the last month before her departure, Jenny went to bid her best friend goodbye. Her friend couldn't hold back her tears and they wept together while hanging each other.
