Honoring Our Veterans(Shelly Garrod) We honor you, our Veterans for your bravery and courage
as you fought in our wars and were never discouraged.

Some of you enlisted for just a few years
while some of you made it your lifetime careers.

Your love for your country shines through bright and strong
as you fought for our freedoms with determination and song.

With gratitude and love we honor you with many a celebration
of parades, luncheons, ceremonies and such,
to show our appreciation.

The Poppy is a symbol that many of us wear on your special day
to remind us of your courage and hope for a better future we pray.

The cruelty of war is no game of Charades
as you strategically attack the enemy with guns and grenades.

You would lay down your life for your fellow man
and against the enemy strongly take your stand.

We know all too well that freedom isn't free
And throughout your many struggles you vowed never to flee.

The sacrifices you made cannot be denied
that many hidden secrets you no longer can hide.

Through all your pain, we stand strong with you
and we vow to never forget and always respect our Red, White and Blue.

We are grateful that you made a commitment to serve us.

In glorious tribute to you our dear Veteran, Our American Flag continues to fly ever so high.
With tears in our eyes and warmth in our hearts we proudly observe Her against the blue sky.

Because if not for your dedication and love of country, we would not be here living our days without fear
We will continue to praise, honor and celebrate your kindness, courage and strength year after year.
