Santa mystery
Born 1959, M, from Stoke, United KingdomSanta Claus had a situation
The problem stood on the grate
Growling in surprised anticipation
Of enjoying a fight this late
Santa and pets usually get on
They usually gave him a love
So he was baffled by this situation
And hoped for help from above
But Rudolph believed in non violence
Decided he will not interfere
Santa can sort out this nonsense
He can take if from here
Santa decided it was all a distraction
After all what harm can it do
So then he burst into action
Aiming to get up the chimney flue
In the morning the family had a panic
When they saw the state of the room
The battle had been titanic
Strewn were bits of Santa costume
His sack lay on the settee
Hanging from the light was his hat
On the sofa contented and happy
Purred Fluffy the family’s cat.
Though Santa was never discovered
And Fluffy didn’t eat for a while
No body parts were ever recovered
Except Fluffy’s Cheshire Cat smile.
