“Why are our Emissaries to Earth going insane?”
“I don’t know. Our Doctors and Scientists can’t figure it out.”
“Well, don’t send any more of our Emissaries until we figure this out.”
“I have a suggestion.”
“Go ahead.”
“Why don’t we ask the Earth Doctor’s and Scientists to evaluate our Emissaries.”
“You think they could find something we couldn’t? They are not nearly as technologically advanced as we are.”
“I know, but maybe they know something we are overlooking.”
“Okay, contact them. See if they are willing to help. But don’t send anyone else down there.”
“Okay. I will contact them now.”

“You know what is driving the Aliens insane?”
“Yes. Us.”
“What do you mean us?”
“I mean us, our books, our media, our stories, everything…including personal conversations; all of it is driving them crazy. “
“Why?”
“Because they don’t have Fiction.”
“What?”
“No Fiction! Everything they say, or do, they have done. They don’t have any: “Theater”, “Movies”, “Fairy Tales”, “Fantasy” or “Fiction.”
“Are you telling me they have no imagination?”
“No. They have vivid imaginations…all mathematically driven. That is why they are so far advanced then we are. They can imagine Space as tiny links of vibrating strings, and they developed a technology to use that. What they can’t do is…lie. Or exaggerate. Or…pretend. “
“What do we tell them?”
“The Truth.”

“That’s insane. Are you telling me that an entire race can claim it did things it did not do?”
“Yes, apparently that is what they do all the time.”
“They lie about their age, their weight, their income. They lie about their emotions, feelings and reasons…even to people they love and respect?”
“Yes, they call them: “White Lies” Something they say in order to make some else feel better, or sometimes, so they feel better themselves. The can exaggerate, embellish, and use hyperbole too. We don’t even have those words in our vocabulary. They use them all the time. ”
“And they all do this?”
“Yes, in fact... almost their entire Entertainment and Literary Works are of Fiction. They even give Awards to people who can pretend to be someone they are not.”
“What?!”
“Yes, they are called “Actors”, and they take part in a Movie or Play based on something that never happened. They win an Oscar, or a Golden Globe, or an Emmy for portraying someone they are not. The best of them, can make you believe they were really that other person, a person who lives in a world that only exists on celluloid, or digital formats.”
“What level of insanity is that? Are they all delusional?”
“Apparently so. They rarely tell the truth…even when they do, they may exaggerate, or understate their accomplishments.”
“Wait…what does that mean?”
“Well they have some emotion called “humility.” If you have that feeling (apparently) you underplay your achievement. So if someone said: “You are a Genius.” They will deny it and say: “Only because I stood on the shoulders of giants.
“What are giants?”
“Fictional Beings, but they mean it as a compliment to the intellectual capabilities of their earlier Scientists. There are no Giants.”
“What about the Mermaid statue we saw in that pretty harbor…everyone onboard has a picture of her.”
“There are no mermaids.”
“That’s insane!”
“I know. But…they also have people who did not have any accomplishments, but say that they did. They claim to be richer, smarter, more intelligent, than they are, or even lighter or taller than they actually are. And every one of them want to be “younger” and will do extraordinary things to be able to “lie” about their age. Including self mutilation, which they call: “Plastic Surgery. They even lie about their weight to their Doctors.”
“Call all of our personnel back to the ship. We need to leave…now.”
“Are you okay?”
“No. My head hurts. I can’t believe they would deny even that!”
“According to their Doctors, most people won’t admit their head hurts.”
“We need to leave. Before I go insane too.”

La Tifa Morriety and Sergio Velazquez, won Best Actor Oscars for their roles in: “Why Did They Leave.” Beverly Smythe and Howard Bell, won Best Supporting Actors in the same Movie: “Why did they Leave?” La Tifa and Serigo played the roles of the Lead Aliens. Beverly and Howard played the roles of the two Scientists who discovered that the Aliens have no Fiction - or concept of Fiction.
All four are contracted to Star in the yet to be released sequel:
“Alien Insanity.”
“I don’t know. Our Doctors and Scientists can’t figure it out.”
“Well, don’t send any more of our Emissaries until we figure this out.”
