The townspeople tried to ignore it, hoping it would just disappear, but they couldn't escape the feeling that something terrible was going to happen. As the nights went on, more and more people disappeared. The townspeople were terrified, but they had no idea what was causing the disappearances. They tried to protect themselves, but it was no use. The spiral had other plans.

One night, a girl named Hyakki was playing outside when the spiral appeared. Her parents searched everywhere for her but couldn't find her. They were convinced that the spiral had taken her, but they had no idea where she had gone.

The spiral grew closer and closer to the town, and the townspeople could hear strange noises coming from it. It sounded like screams and whispers, but they couldn't make out what was being said. People started to lose their minds, turning on each other, and attacking their neighbours, thinking they were being controlled by the spiral, as the spiral grew larger and more menacing every night, the townspeople's fear escalated. They gathered together in the town square, discussing what they could do to protect themselves. Some believed that they should leave the town, but most were too scared to even consider it. They decided to fortify their homes and barricade themselves inside, hoping that the spiral would pass them by.

However, their efforts were in vain. The spiral had other plans. It began to descend from the sky, creeping closer and closer to the town. As it got closer, the people could hear strange noises coming from it. It sounded like screams and whispers, but they couldn't make out what was being said. The townspeople were terrified as the spiral enveloped the town. They felt like they were being suffocated as it consumed them. They could see shadows moving inside the spiral, and they knew they were not alone. Something was inside with them. People started to lose their minds, and they turned on each other. They attacked their neighbours, thinking they were being controlled by the spiral. It was chaos, and no one was safe. As the night progressed, the spiral began to emit a strange light. It was a sickly green colour that made the people's skin crawl. They could feel it seeping into their bodies, infecting them with a dark energy. Some of the townspeople who had been hiding in their homes tried to escape. They ran out into the street, but they were immediately consumed by the spiral. Their bodies twisted and turned, as if they were being pulled apart by some invisible force. It was a horrifying sight, and those who witnessed it knew that they were not going to make it out alive.

Those who had barricaded themselves inside their homes were not much better off. The spiral had seeped into their homes, infecting them with a dark energy that made them turn on each other. They attacked their family and friends, their bodies twisted and contorted by the power of the spiral. The few survivors who managed to make it out of the town were forever changed by what they had experienced. They were haunted by the screams and whispers they had heard, and they couldn't shake the feeling that something was watching them.

Years later, a group of researchers discovered the truth about the spiral. They found that it was actually a portal to another world, a realm of darkness. They discovered that Hyakki and the others who had disappeared had been taken to this world, never to return. The survivors of the spiral were devastated by this news. They had hoped that their loved ones were still alive, but they knew in their hearts that they were gone forever. They were left to mourn their loss and to wonder what had become of their loved ones in that dark and terrible world.

The town was never the same again. The spiral had taken so much from them - their loved ones, their sense of security, their peace of mind. They knew that they would never be able to forget what had happened, and they were left to live out the rest of their lives with the knowledge that they had been touched by something terrible and tragic. One day, a group of explorers stumbled upon the ruins of the town. They were intrigued by the strange and eerie energy that emanated from the area and decided to investigate. As they made their way through the ruins, they noticed something odd. It was as if the town had been frozen in time, with everything left exactly as it was on the night the spiral had consumed it. The group ventured further into the town and eventually stumbled upon a small girl sitting alone in the middle of the town square. She had long brown hair and was wearing a tattered dress. She looked up at the explorers and smiled. One of the explorers recognized the girl. It was Hyakki, the girl who had disappeared on the night the spiral appeared. He approached her cautiously and asked her how she had survived. She smiled again and told him that she had been taken to the other world, just as everyone had suspected. But she had found a way to escape. She had made a deal with the dark entity that ruled that realm. She had offered to bring it new souls in exchange for her own freedom.

The explorers were shocked by this revelation. She had been the cause of the spiral. She had been the one who had made the deal that had led to the destruction of the town. As they stood there, staring at her, they realized that she was not alone. There were other children with her, all with the same haunted look in their eyes. They had all made the same deal that she had, and they had all escaped from the other world.

The explorers knew that they had to act quickly. They couldn't let her and the other children continue to bring souls to the dark entity. They had to find a way to stop them before it was too late but as they moved to apprehend her and the other children, something strange happened. The energy in the town square began to shift, and a vortex appeared in the sky above them. The explorers were pulled into the vortex, and they found themselves standing in the same otherworldly realm that she had described.

The dark entity that she had made the deal with appeared before them, and it spoke to them in a voice that echoed in their minds.

"You have interfered with my plans," it said. "But I have a proposition for you. Join me, and I will spare your lives. You will become my servants, and you will help me bring more souls to my realm."

The explorers were horrified, but they knew that they had no choice. They had to accept the dark entity's offer, or they would be destroyed and so, they joined her and the other children in their quest to bring more souls to the dark entity's realm. They became the new servants of the spiral, forever bound to do its bidding.

As for the town, it remained abandoned, a testament to the horror that had consumed it. But now, there was something even more sinister lurking in its ruins, waiting to claim more victims.
