My First Love

My First Love(Anonymous Girl) Why does everything seem so wrong, thought eighteen year old Sarah, just graduated from high school and having a short break. She was hoping to get to university, but had no hope anymore. She was intending to get a job after the short break, and was feeling moody and sad. One night, she was watching TV with her family. The show was about a hooligan who liked a university girl. Although he was a hooligan, he had a kind heart. Unfortunately, the girl in the show had a kidney problem. He told her that if he ever died he would donate his kidney to her, and the girl was saying, for real? And he seriously said yes. Sarah was very touched by what the boy was saying, and she thought, is there a guy who is so noble in this world? Although it was just a show, Sarah couldn't help wondering?

One day she was feeling bored, so she opened her laptop to surf the net. She was surfing when she saw the guy (the one on the show when she watched that day). He is a newcomer actor and he had an email address. Never had she joined any star group or talked to any real stars or exchanged emails with a guy before, but she suddenly had the urge to send him an email. So she sent him an email with a simple greeting picture.

After two weeks, Sarah had totally forgotten about the email, and as she was reading her mail, Surprise! She saw an email from the actor, Rick. She couldn't believe it. She never thought a celebrity would actually reply to email, and what's more, write her a letter. The letter was long and sweet, and Rick was telling her that he had a Yahoo group set up by his organisers and was wishing to see her there. So Sarah decided to join it, the first star group she ever joined.

After joining and participating for a few weeks, and making some new friends, surprisingly there was a star gathering, meaning you get to meet the star. She had never been to a star gathering before, she was afraid, but she was being selected to go. She hoped her best friend Brenda would go with her, but she was overseas at the moment, so she decided to go alone, feeling excited but scared at the same time.

The big day arrived. She decided to wear a simple T-shirt and brown pants paired with silver flats to the Star Rick gathering. When she arrived at the meeting place, there were a few members there. Sarah was very shy so she just smiled at them. Later the members brought Sarah to a member's house where the gathering was held. Some of them were chit-chatting, and some were talking to Sarah and exchanging numbers with her. The Star was arriving later that evening, so they were all setting up the barbequed food and cooking up some desserts. Time flew fast and it was late evening already. At about 8pm, Rick finally came. Everyone rushed out to welcome him except Sarah, because she was feeling very scared and nervous....

Wow! Sarah was thinking when she saw Rick. He is so good looking, beautiful brown eyes, pointed nose, flawless skin and a great smile, and he was standing in front of her and was shaking hands with her and was saying: "Hi Sarah". His voice was deep and nice. All Sarah managed to say was "Hi Rick". He was flashing his pearly whites to her. And then they were all sitting at a table to eat the BBQ foods, and Rick was sitting beside her and taking some food for her to eat. Sarah felt so honoured and happy. She never knew Rick was so humble and nice. But Sarah saw that some members disliked her and were whispering about her. Rick knew too. He said, "Are you all unhappy that i sit beside Sarah?" They were pretending to say no. Sarah knew they were lying but she didn't care, because Rick was beside her at the moment.

Then later, it was game time. They were playing truth or dare. Those members didn't want to play with Sarah because they were jealous that Rick had sided with her. But Rick was playing truth or dare with her and made her laugh so much. Sarah had never felt so happy, she never knew a celebrity could be so nice....

It was autographs time, and Rick was signing for everyone including Sarah, and he wrote a sweet message for Sarah in a book. They were all sitting down and chatting. Sarah was too shy to say anything so she was listening and looking at them chatting when suddenly Rick caught her eyes and Sarah was blushing and quickly looked away, but Rick was still staring at her hard.

Photo-Taking Time, everyone wanted to get as close to Rick as possible, but not Sarah. She was too shy to do anything so she just stood there and watched. Then Rick suddenly smiled and walked towards her and asked her if she wanted to take a photo with him. Sarah shyly said yes. Rick put his arms around Sarah. No guy had ever put his arms around Sarah before except her daddy. And the feeling was good. Rick was chatting with her and asked her how old she was. Sarah told him eighteen. He couldn't believe it and said he thought Sarah had a babyface. He even asked Sarah if she had a boyfriend. Sarah shyly said no, she had never had one before, and Rick was WOWED by that. He even told Sarah that she was very pretty and fair and Sarah was surprised and glad to hear that, she had always thought she was plain jane, plain and average.... Rick's words made her heart flutter and shine.

They were celebrating Rick's birthday, as his birthday was in December. He was making a wish and blowing the candles and everyone was eating the cake, and Rick was asking Sarah if she would come again if there was another gathering. Sarah told him maybe and smiled at him. Never had she asked a guy for his number before, but Sarah decided to go for it because she wanted to keep in contact with Rick. So she shyly asked him for it and he give it to her without hesitation. It was time to go home and Rick was thanking everyone that came and saying goodbye to them. Rick wanted to drive Sarah home but her daddy was fetching her and was waiting for her nearby there. So he waved goodbye to Sarah.

What a night it was, thought Sarah, as she lie sleeping in her own bed. The next day, Sarah decided to send Rick a text so he could have her number too, as she forgot to give it to him yesterday. Amazingly, Rick replied to her and Sarah was over the moon. As times flies by, Sarah has gone to many Rick gatherings, and each time Rick treated her better and better than all other fans, and kept smiling and teasing her so that sometimes he made Sarah tickle with pink.

Years passed, and Sarah was turning 21 soon. She decided to have a birthday party and invited some friends (Not those fans), and of course Rick. But sadly, Rick was filming and couldn't make it, but what Rick had planned later made Sarah feel very touched. He just got a new car, and Sarah was the first one to sit on it. Not only that, he brought her to a restaurant to celebrate with her for her 21st birthday. In Sarah's 21 years of life, no guy had ever celebrated alone with her on her birthday, with her family and friends. Rick was the first and only one. Rick even shared a cake with her and teased her again. Rick made her feel like a princess. It was like a dream come true for Sarah. She was wondering, did Rick like her? It can't be, thought Sarah, as he is a star. But there was an old saying that, 'If a guy celebrates with you alone on your 21st it means he is into you...'. Rick was telling her that he was happy to celebrate her birthday with her, and asked if she felt the same. Sarah was smiling and saying, yes, I'm really happy. Rick even dedicated a song for her called, "I'm Yours". He even opened the car door for her. No guy had ever been like that to her before. She had never been in love before, but she liked the feeling Rick had given her.

When there are good things, there will be bad things too. Some of Sarah's friends told her that Rick was just playing with her feelings. But Sarah didn't believe, because she knew Rick was not the kind of guy who would break her heart. Although Rick had never told her he loved her, he did tell her he liked her and would like to spend more time with her. And he did say he would be a good boyfriend and, if married, he would be a good husband.

Once they had a misunderstanding and Sarah decided to tell Rick her feelings. She had never done that before, but she decided to tell him. She had a feeling that Rick liked her because at the kissing booth carnival, Rick actually did ask her to kiss him on the cheek, and she was the only one being asked by him. If Rick didn't like her, why would he tell her to do that? Rick had two failed relationships before. They thought he was not romantic enough so they dumped him, so it was not his fault, was it?

So she went to find him and pass him a letter and muster up all her courage to tell him she liked him. Rick didn't say anything, but just shyly smiled at her. Sarah didn't know what he meant. So she asked Brenda, her best friend, and she said that Rick liked her too but was too shy to say it out loud, but eventually he would.

Sarah really liked him and hoped he would be her first and only boyfriend. Many people have said that first love won't last. It's rare, but it's definitely possible, thought Sarah! She had never thought she would fall for a star, but the feeling wouldn't fade away and kept getting better.

Rick is unlike other guys, he has a unique habit, he doesn't like texting, he prefers calling or talking in person, because he says it's more real that way. And he had said he was more of a realistic guy and not a very romantic person. But Sarah knew that wasn't important, most important is that he had the most kind and sincere heart and she wouldn't want to change anything about him, because nobody is perfect, and true love accepts all imperfections.

Sometimes Sarah was thinking whether she was good enough for him because not only was Rick good looking, he was a university graduate, while she was only a high school graduate and so plain looking... but Rick did say she was pretty before...

She really hoped to have a happily ever after ending. Rick had been there for her and sided with her when needed, but those fans kept on wanting to tear them apart as they kept telling Rick rumors about Sarah which were totally not true at all. Would their love stay strong or fade away? True Love will never die, it will only get stronger with time, that's what her BFF Brenda tried to tell her.

One day, Rick sent her a text and asked her to meet up. Sarah was wondering, is he wanting to reject me or what? She was very scared, but she had to meet up to get the answer. When Sarah saw Rick, she felt a knot in her stomach, he was so near her, but was his mind with her too? Rick smiled at her and asked her how she was? Sarah replied softly, "just fine", although she was not fine at all. Rick was holding the letter that Sarah had given him some time ago, and he said, "I have read your letter, thanks for writing me this letter, but..." When she heard the 'but', she knew Rick felt nothing towards her, so she told Rick, "it's ok, you don't have to say anymore, I know what you mean", and she was turning to leave when Rick grabbed her hands and asked her, "Why are you leaving?" And Sarah said, "didn't you want to tell me you don't like me?" And Rick was smiling and saying: "Who says? I was meaning to say I had read your letter, but i never thought you would write such a long and sweet letter to me. You told me it was not love at first sight in the letter when you first saw me, but I liked you since the first day I saw you." Sarah couldn't believe what she heard. Do fairy tales really come true? She wondered.

Sarah asked him, "Why didn't you let me know?". Rick told her he had been dumped twice and was afraid of getting rejected again, but he had found out that Sarah was unlike any other girls, that she had her own unique way that shines through her. He said, "when you gave me this letter you let me know that i made the right choice, and so i met up with you today to confess my feelings for you". He held Sarah's hand and looked straight into Sarah's eyes and said, "I'm sorry for frustrating you sometimes, as i'm very busy with work and can't spend more time with you. I hope you are not angry at me. I'm not a romantic person, but what i'm going to say is from the bottom of my heart: Sarah, will you be my girlfriend?" Sarah couldn't believe what just happened. Rick was still the same nice guy she knew and he was confessing his feelings for her. Sarah was crying tears of happiness and said, "yes, of course, i will be your girlfriend". Rick pulled out a box and told Sarah to open it. "Wow, it's beautiful", exclaimed Sarah! He had given her a key locket with her name on it. "Do you like it?" asked Rick shyly. "Yes, i like it very much, thank you Rick." "Be Mine", said Rick. "Only if you promise to be mine forever and never break my heart?"

Rick pretended to think for a while and then said, "I'm yours forever and i promised i will never break your heart". And Rick leaned down to kiss Sarah on the lips with a soft touch, her very first kiss. And she knew there were many more to come. With Rick by her side, her happily ever after ending had just started...
